Ed, a conservative republican, thinks that it is generally accepted by most thinking Americans that the people who comprise our Congress are arrogant, ineffective and, above all, are driving the Country in the wrong direction enabling the current administration.
He goes on to say, Over time, career politicians have crafted a system, including designing voting districts which give them distinct advantages of being continuously reelected by the voters of their respective districts. Add…Continue

It is time we reviewed the cost benefit of our foreign aid program.
President Obama, evidently unaware of the deficit crisis at home, outlined a new foreign-aid strategy in March saying, “The United States of America has been, and will remain, the global leader in providing assistance.” I guess he sees no reason to review the cost benefit of our foreign aid program.
His Administration also seems content to spend as usual. It is hard to believe that while we are unable…Continue

Just say ‘No!’ What is it that the John Boehner and his Republican cohorts in Washington don’t get? The new GOP Representatives were elected to actually do something about the budget crisis. John Boehner pledged a $100,000,000,000.00 cut after he became Speaker. They have watered that promise down to $61,000,000,000 and that seems to be suffering further dithering with the Democrats and the White House. Just say ‘No!’ John. That is what you promised. That is what the newly…Continue

While I have been disillusioned with our Administration this last week I have been embarrassed. Their antics over Libya are unbelievable! We have been giving out mixed signals and staying on the sidelines. President Obama and Hillary Clinton seem to be opting to not make enemies rather than support freedom fighters.…Continue
No matter what their individual reasons may be the American people, those who have doubts, deserve to know that their president is a natural born citizen. There is enough smoke (and interest) around this issue to warrant President Obama, who promised transparency, to actually release his long form birth certificate. Certainly there must be a compelling reason he has not done so. Certainly he can afford the $15.00 fee on his salary!
If he still refuses to do so, it appears that…Continue
All those involved said that only voting citizens could effect change. We were all concerned for our Country. We became active, we walked neighborhoods and supported our candidates. We worked phone banks and we attended rallies. Then we voted.
CONGRATULATIONS. Our voice was heard!…

As they say, what goes around comes around! This 1948 cartoon is spot on for today's political situation.
Todaay's fight is not a new one. We have, since the turn of the last century had to fight to keep our individual freedoms.

It would seem that President Obama’s vision of “democracy” is when his is the only voice we would all hear. Of all people I cannot believe he used the Jefferson quote after belittling the Tea Party activists. It is important to be active as long as you do what he thinks is best for his vision of a New America.
If nothing else this has to inspire us to get out the vote in November so we can impede the Progressive Movement which is well afoot under the Obama’s…Continue

Many of us are simply too busy living our lives to get engaged. Yet they will share in our future and the course it takes. Sometimes looking back gives us insight into the future. Between now and Novemebr we need to help our fellow Americans become informed and…Continue
