I'm comfortable with my belief that the legal strategy challenging Barry Soetoro's a.k.a. Barack Hussein Obama II eligibility has been frightfully wrong. Today's hearing bears that out! We already have a champion fighting the criminal aspect, from Sheriff Joe Arpiao, and he's doing a great job. Whether anyone is listening is not his fault, it's ours because we fail to ramp it up to a fever pitch.
Every time Mario Apuzzo tried to introduce the fraudulent documents into the hearing today, the judge re-directed. Why is that so hard to understand? We have a strong Constitutional challenge that would require no less than a Supreme Court ruling to overturn the previous ruling, and it has nothing to do with the pResident's place of birth, as the Wong case complicates. I will have to review the Wong Kim Ark case before I jump to any conclusions to its help or hindrance in this case. I have yet to read thoughtfully enough, Mario's input from today, but here's Kerchner's take.
You might have been misreading the events of the day. Counsel Apuzzo pointed out that the judge will first rule on the foreign father relevance to NBC and whether a certified birth certificate copy is required to be produced. Only then would the validity of the certificate come into play.
My input was based on Kerchner's (who was in attendance) brief recollection of events, and it was even before Apuzzo's brief for the day popped up for me. I didn't misread anything Kerchner stated in his blog to include "The judge asked a lot of questions on the natural born Citizen issue repeatedly interrupting the presentation by Attorney Mario Apuzzo. On the issues of the forged Obama documents, the judge did not wish to hear anything about that matter and refused to allow any evidence to be entered on those forgery issues since Obama had not presented his birth certificate or draft registration documents in any form to NJ. Thus he said those issues of alleged forgery are not before his court."
I understand we may have an oral decision by 10 AM tomorrow.
Oral decision was supposed to be tonight, with written decision tomorrow. Seems pretty fast to me for the biggest political scandal in history. I wonder if he had his mind already made up, or words given to him to publish?
Have you thought about having your Tea party do a poll similar to ours?
I'm appalled by the insignificant treatment of this whole thing. My biggest fear is going past the 2012 election with no resolution, in spite of the outcome for President. It will silently create a precedent that will probably never be revisited.
I thought about the poll, but need to generate more interest for it to even be meaningful.
Agree about the challenges.
I've been feeding our Tea Party people a very light diet of eligibility stuff for a long time. The Steering Committee wanted action, so I thought I'd poll the membership to see if we were in synch with them. We are --more so than I thought-- but it might only be with the more active ones who actually do stuff and respond to polls like that. But, when you get right down to it, the active ones are the most important, I suppose. Agree?
Like you George I have been feeding the members for about three months. I remember one argument the first time I brought it up, "If there was any truth to it, wouldn't we have heard about it in the media?" She was new to the group. I did however, have one that really took off with it, and I agree the active ones need to be encouraged. If interested read it, if not just ignore it.
I am asking for your help in requesting our representatives to provide a clear and open process in verifying the qualifications of the candidates for President and Vice President. I find it unsettling that we have a large number of citizens feeling disenfranchised and questioning the qualifications of our current President to hold office. It was my belief that there was a government agency, somewhere, that investigated the background of the individuals running for President, etc. much like I have had to go through many times to gain a security clearance. As best as I could ascertain it turns out that no such process exists; it is left to the people and the political parties when they submit a candidate’s name to certify the individual is “qualified” for the office.
The more I looked into the process I found that “natural born citizen” is not defined in the constitution and though the Supreme Court did address the definition in Minor v. Happersett , 88 U.S. 162 (1875) it still leaves room for interpretation. Thus it is a concern that the political parties could be using different standards through interpretation in qualifying their candidates. The following link provides some additional background on the subject: http://www.art2superpac.com/issues.html. This is but one site; please do your own research on the subject, searching the internet, to form your own opinion.
I don’t think this is a Democrat/Republican or left/right issue, it should be of concern to all American Citizens no matter where we stand on the issues. We should all have confidence that the individuals on the ballot have all been vetted using the same standard and meet the qualifications for the office. If you agree please do the following:
1. Forward this email to everyone in your address book and ask that they likewise forward it to their address book contacts.
2. On February 29, 2012 copy the draft letter below (feel free to edit as you see fit) and send it to your Senators, Congressman, and the House and Senate leadership. Helpful links are provided below.
3. Consider sending a copy of the letter to your local and national media outlets (newspapers, TV, Radio, etc.).
This shouldn’t cost you anything but a few minutes of your time and the rewards in insuring none of our citizens are disenfranchised are priceless. If we all do this on February 29th it will be hard for our political representatives to ignore the issue.
I thank you for your support, together we can make it happen….
Obama won again- see my posting.
