Our speaker for December will be Larry Greenfield. Larry is a fellow in American studies at the Claremont Institute, and senior fellow of the American Freedom Alliance. He will be speaking on "The American Freedom Agenda."
Elections to choose officers of the San Fernando Valley Republican Club for the next two years will also be held at the December 4th meeting.
We will also have candidates running for Los Angeles City Council introduce themselves.
There is a $5.00 event fee, except for first time visitors, students and guest speakers who may attend at no cost.
Larry hails from Los Angeles and earned his BA in political science at UC Berkeley, graduating in 3 years as Class Speaker. He picked up his law degree at the Georgetown Law Center in Washington D.C., where he worked on an arrest warrant for PLO chief Yasir Arafat, which helped to deter his appearance before the United Nations.
Larry served in the Armed Forces of the United States in Naval Intelligence, and was publisher of the Journal of International Security Affairs. He has traveled to 80 countries and inside eight war-zones. Larry has served on the Boards of the Israel-Christian Nexus and the Endowment for Middle East Truth.
Mr. Greenfield was founding executive director of the Reagan Legacy Foundation and has advised conservative politicians on public policy issues. He has served on the Executive Committee of the California Republican Party, as and Director of the Republican Jewish Coalition. He is a popular speaker at Freedom Fest and in the media.
He lectures widely on American politics and is writing his first book on liberty in America.
