Will YOU Save Freedom? Catch The Tea Party Wave

Chelene is Great but a vote for Chelene is a Vote for Jerry Brown

According to the San Jose Mercury News "Chelene Nightingale, the American Independent candidate running for governor, says the voters she's met around the state are "sick of voting for the lesser of two evils" - that is, choosing between imperfect Democratic and Republican candidates.

"People are looking for something different," she said this week."

She's right. Unfortunately she has no chance of winning the election. What she does have the potential to do is give the election to Govenor Moonbeam; Jerry Brown. While Meg Whitman is far from perfect, she is far better than Brown.
If we are tired of having to hold our noses to vote, we must change our party. Instead of driving a nail into the heart of California by handing Jerry Brown a victory on November 2, we need to hold our noses one more time and then we need to start getting involved in the Republican party. We need to get on the county committies. We need to get on the state committees. We need to promote candidates we can truly support. We have started to make changes. We need to continue to make changes without killing the patient.
We need to pass Prop 20 and defeat Prop 27 and vote for Meg. We need to stay involved.
Maybe Chelene would be a good govenor. That's not the question we face on Tuesday. The question is how bad will California be four years from now if Jerry Brown should become our govenor again?

The NWO would like nothing more than for things to escalate. Why do you think Obama had the Census get GPS coordinates for every front door in America? Do you think US troops can't read a map?

If things are as hopeless as you describe, I have to question why bother voting or trying to get anyone elected. If you are right, putting anything in a Blog or in writing is suicide.

Sure you must prepare for contingencies, but in the mean time, you must work to change the system. Who would of thought two years ago that we could get as many Tea Party candidates elected as we are poised to do? If we applied the same effort to the Republican party, we could effect just as much, if not more change in the next two years and we could change the tide.

I expect that Helicopter Ben will fire up the presses before year end. I expect that more banks will be bailed out and more wealth will be transferred to the elite. But nothing I can do will change that. I will work to change the things I can. Otherwise there is no point in voting or trying to change anything.

Perhaps if you focused on the part about taking over the Republican party and changing the party from within instead of Chelene is the savior of our state and I'm voting for her no matter what.

We can vote principles all day long and watch the left flush the state down the toilet. Or we can vote for the candidate that has the best chance of winning that is closest to our views and work to change the republican party from within.

The party didn't just make a radical left turn in the last election cycle. Both parties have moved farther and farther left over the last several decades. We cannot expect to move back in one cycle either.

Will Meg continue to hurt the state? Undoubtably. Will she be better than Moonbeam? Undoubtably.

The Republican party is begining (just barely) to recognize that the Tea Party is for real. We still have a lot of house cleaning to do. Carl Rove, Mitch McConnell and hoards of others need to be removed.

If you have a bleeding patient you apply a tourniquet you do not open up another vein. So we vote for Meg, and we keep the pressure on her. At the same time, we get elected to the local party committees and put pressure on them. Otherwise, there will be no state to save.

I would like to have Ronald Reagan as govenor again, but that is not going to happen either. I am now involved in politics actively and I will work to change the direction of our city/county/state/country until God calls me home. I am no longer going to sit on the sidelines; but at the same time I am going to be a realist and accept small victories that give me a chance to continue fighting, instead of casting an idealistic vote that does not preserve the opportunity for a future victory.

We need to be involved in our schools, churches, neighborhoods, cities, counties... and work for change. We need to work harder than the left, because they have a head start. The damage Moonbeam can inflict in four years with a Democratic legislature unimaginable.

Change the party. Take it away from the elites.

How could someone be part of the tea party organizations and still want to vote for a rino republican? It's the republican rinos like Meg and the socialist agenda of the left why the tea party even got started.

Yeah Marty, you really DO need to grow a pair and vote the candidate and not the RINO... PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE THE REASON WE ARE IN THIS SITUATION !!!

I got the impression Marty that you are from the NGTTIA site. I don't really know but I have to comment on a real lack of campaign activity by the organizer of that site. We usually see a lot of powerful events coming out of that site which we have tried to fully and enthusiastically support and it is a real disappointment to see the ball dropped so completely in this most important election of our lifetime. You are welcome to pass my message on to others.

I was thinking this morning as the season is coming to its climax next Tuesday that the Tea Party phenomena is a direct result of the Republican Party. It is true that the progressive liberal fascists who are now in control of our government used lies and misdirection to gain the overwhelming power they now have. The last election in 2008 was not about parties, it was about values. The absolutely abysmal behavior of the "compassionate progressive conservatives" was a totally dishonest grab for personal power and down home pork and spending. Such personal selfishness was what was rejected in 2008. The overwhelming need to believe in something bigger than ourselves was what the curtain of hope and change was sold as. No one would pay attention to the progressive liberal fascist standing behind the curtain even though all the evidence was right before our eyes. We all knew about Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, Saul Alinsky and the highly likely possibility that our current sitting president would not qualify if all his truths were out.
Back to the topic at hand, the Republican party is solely responsible for the Tea Party coming into existence. They have continually given us untrustworthy non-conservative candidates with a very few exceptions over the last two decades. They have been the party of "fat cats" and Meg Whitman is the most recent and clearest example of this offering. Meg Whitman is dishonest and says whatever the target audience would like to hear. I heard a Republican Ventura County operative say months ago that Meg would get the nomination because she gave the most money to the party. That was the day I decided that I had to find somebody else to vote for if she got the nomination. I personally will use my vote to stand up for conservative participles and honesty. Your vote is yours to sell if you want to the highest bidder.
The consequences of my vote is that if Moonbeam gets elected then the electorate will finally see that CA cannot withstand the total onslaught of progressive liberal fascism and that it will go bankrupt. I actually feel sorry for the public employee unions that are counting on those retirement plans progressives promised. When there is no more money to pay those retirements they will realize that if they had saved for their own retirement they would have something other than empty promises.
Meg is the slow death of CA and Moonbeam is the quick death of CA. Both will be the death of us just as Arnold turned out to be. At least I will be able to say that I did not enable either and please don't lecture me on throwing away my vote. An honest vote for a conservative candidate is never a waste, it is a vote for personal liberty and personal integrity. Still got yours?
Comment by Bobby Florentz on October 30, 2010 at 12:13pm
A vote for Meg Whitman is a vote for Arnold's third term. What a pathetic little voter who thinks he is not voting the destruction of our state with his vote for her. I think we can all feel pretty certain that the message of "not now," it's too dangerous," "you will destroy us" were all heard by the likes of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and even the Wright Brothers. Aren't we glad that they didn't listen to those un-American sentiments?

Your ignorant rantings are falling on deaf ears because it is voters like you that have America in the straits in which we find ourselves. I actually find your cowardice rather insulting. Here we have 2 nearly identical candidates who are pro abortion, anti job, anti prop 23, anti border security, and by any estimation anti American/Californian. I'm sure it is the McAmnesty voters like the above that will always blame the Constitutional patriots for America's woes when it is clearly they and their liberal candidates who are to blame. Ronald Reagan is probably the best American president of the 20th century and it was likely liberals like you he was asking when he quiried," If not us,then who; and if not now, then when?

No one who voted for McAmnesty or casts one for Whitless should ever call themselves patriotic conservatives. Republican Kool Aid-drinkers perhaps, Republobots maybe, but misguided definately.
Comment by Ventura Patriot on October 30, 2010 at 10:14am
Hmm., I was out precinct walking and doing other campaign and Tea Party stuff while all this stuff was written.

Marty, coming from someone from an organization that barred virtually our whole steering committee from posting on your site months ago, you've got a lot of nerve coming here and commenting. Please note that we have not reciprocated by barring you.

1. Brown is so far ahead that Nightingale will likely not be the reason he wins. He is now ahead at least 10%. Even if Chelene didn’t exist, Meg would lose, You are the one who needs to learn mathematics, Marty. From what I hear, your organization is more worried about parking meters on Main St., plastic bags and watching local meetings, than focusing on the election and electing candidates who will enact the Tea Party agenda and influencing Proposition votes to our advantage. There will be plenty of time for the other stuff after the election, which is an extremely important one. Most people have already voted absentee, so this discussion is more academic than anything else now. I would say that 95% voted for Brown or Meg and that Brown has already won. We live in a very blue state. It is probably too much to hope for, to say that many voted for other candidates. You have more faith in our electorate than I do.

2. What makes you think Whitman is any better? There is a reason that she is way behind, even after spending a mind-boggling $120MM+ and having the support of the blindly faithful. We have a fatally flawed candidate. She is merely flawed in somewhat different ways than Moonbeam. Time and behavior will prove me right, if it hasn’t already. I won’t go into it all here and give the Liberal trolls on our site more ammunition. Suffice to say that she is a progressive, with many other unattractive qualities, which are not making me breathless to see her elected. If I really believed that she would be mostly a Republican, I would cave and reluctantly vote for her, as I did for Carly. Most Tea Party people are. Only when they get some backbone will the Tea Party advance. Right now, it is truly the GOP’s bitch when it does stuff like this, just like the Liberals claim. It is conceivable that some powerful GOP’s swayed the primary in the misguided belief that Whitman would be more attractive to Democrats and “Independents.” Earth to GOP: they ain’t buyin’ it.

3, I would support a recall movement for either Brown or Whitman later on. I still can hardly believe that we have two such horrible candidates.

4. I am DONE with the lesser of two evils argument. We have quite a few really bad candidates, We also have some excellent ones. I am focusing my energies on getting the excellent ones elected, as Chuck and others know, since we have been out precinct walking together.

Some of us have been out precinct walking for over a month, for candidates we can BELIEVE in, visited thousands and thousands of homes, spent thousands of dollars of our own money and worked hundreds, even thousands of hours, building the Tea Parties, doing research, blogging, doing events and supporting candidates. How many of you critics have done that?

5. After the election, we need to get focused on cleaning up our party and getting ready for the 2012 elections. We cannot afford another important election with a corrupt party, as we have had in 2010. It's a miracle that we have as many fine candidates as we do in spite of it.

6. The Ventura County Tea Party has not supported anyone for Governor, or for several positions, for that matter.

7. The reason that Chelene and other parties “can’t win” is that people like you will not allow them to. Your parties have boycotted other parties from debates. The “news” media you support embargoes stories about them, or allow only a selected very few stories, with negative and patronizing messages.

One hackneyed excuse often repeated is that Ross Perot “split the vote,” allowing Bubba to win in 1992. I have news for you. In 1992, we were in the middle of the Bush recession, also reeling from CFR, Trilateral, Skull and Bones Pappy Bush babbling about a “New World Order.” Perot, a third party candidate, was initially alluring, talking finance, economics, brandishing pie charts and corporate jargon, along with some down home plain talk. His support faded as people realized that he was an autocratic nutjob. I didn’t vote for him. So, he is now the poster boy for inevitable failure of third party candidates, but he was right up there until the truth got out. Bill won by default (without a majority), because people didn’t realize they were electing “Billary.”

I now vote for policies, abilities and country, not parties. I am a Republican because I still expect that it is the place where we are most likely to produce good candidates, but my faith has been sorely tried. Don’t blow it again. I have heard the same miserable lesser evil excuse for decades, as I obediently voted for Bush I, Dole, Bush II, Schwarzenegger, McAmnesty. Meg is the last straw. McAmnesty was my last major “lesser of two evils” candidate. But, hey, it could be worse. We could have Alvin Greene.

I sometimes vote strategically for some less extreme examples, such as Carly Fiorina, who at least remotely resembles a Republican, in a few respects. However, Red State’s warning on her should be heeded. When Republicans start to realize that they will hit a FIREWALL when they nominate Megs and McAmnesties, then it will happen FAR less frequently.

Yes, we will rally to the Republican candidate nominated, but the catch is that the candidate must be an actual Republican. If you’d like to go through a checklist offline, I’d be happy to do that with you. The Republican party has to EARN our votes with principles, ethics and candidates that reflect the ideals of the party. We are all responsible for quality control, to make sure that bad candidates are stopped -- and quality assurance, to make sure that good ones usually do prevail. Defending the party brand regardless of quality is the mark of a gang, not a party of ethics and ideals. To those of you who sneer at such idealism-- go wallow in the mud with the Democrats.
