At first blush, Prop 22 looks pretty good. Claw back that money that the state has been stealing from us! In fact, the proposition would mandate that in certain respects, assuming that our "leaders don't find some way to work around or nullifty it, as they have with Prop 187, 8 and others.
However there are some serious drawbacks, as well.
Our steering committee originally voted "yes" to get behind this proposition, although it wasn't a resounding yes and it wasn't unanimous. Subsequent information has made us reconsider this. We are revisting it now. My own default position on any proposition is "No," unless it is clearly advantageous.
What do YOU think?
We seem to have a remarkably high level of agreement on the other propositions. A few people want yes on Prop 19, because they don't believe that the govt. can constitutionally regulate it, but most are against.
