Yep! Seen it. Glen Beck even had it on his show. Absolutely incredible! Mere mortals like us cannot comprehend such gargantuan numbers however, but if it was expressed as a "per capita" figure, some of us might well have to be escorted to the ER.
Look again-- it IS expressed by citizen and family.
What helps me relate to it is to vcompare the total $121 TRILLION obligation to the
- GDP, which is all the economic activity for the nation for an entire year, which is $14 trillion
- And the entire world economy, which is about $60 Trillion
So, it's multiples of the U.S. economy, when debt equal to the economy is considered a death knell and twice the entire world economy-- OMG!
