Tickets for my two Southern California speaking events are going fast. In fact, the 550 seat Irvine Barclay Theater has sold out for the event on Monday, November 7. The last time I held a public event in California, the Federal Reserve had yet to make even its first attempt to quantitatively ease our economy. Since that time, we have seen the launch of QE I and QE II (and now Operation Twist), a sovereign debt crisis erupt in Europe, gold hit $1,900 per ounce, the fragile U.S. "recovery" stall, the economy veer once again toward recession, the Swiss government clamp down its own currency, massive volatility return to global stock markets, yields plunge on U.S. Treasury bonds, and most breathtakingly, an accelerated pace of debt accumulation by irresponsible Washington politicians. In my presentation I will do my best to make sense of these developments.
I'll also discuss the performance of global markets, and offer my views as to where investors may find value. The events will also be attended by investment professionals from my two Southern California offices who will be available to engage with you on a more personal level.
