*** Update from Nick Hankoff *** Wow, the amount of RSVPs so far has been very encouraging. When the Big Brother picnic was first announced, this anti-constitutional federal government had only been exposed through the actions of the FBI, IRS, DOJ, and HHS, but who would have expected the NSA? Surely we could reasonably expect the National Security Agency to check its own power! Who knows what's next? One thing is for sure, our event is gaining timeliness and importance.
Due to an increase in interest, the Republican Liberty Caucus of L.A. County is preparing for a bigger crowd and will incur new expenses. We will supply grills (bring your own meat!) and also rent restroom facilities. It's not cheap, but we're proud to hold events that break down the walls of modern, mainstream discussion and activism. To keep holding events like this, we depend on your donations. As if it wasn't enough to meet Assemblyman Tim Donnelly as well as representatives of Antiwar.com and Code Pink in the same day all under one FilmTools camera-equipped drone, there's more! Volleyball, swimming pool, and rowboat rides on the lake anyone?
If your group/organization would like to sponsor, it's just $25 to run a table plus you'll get 5 minutes microphone time to sound off on Big Brother!
Interesting mix. Nick Hankoff is an outstanding civil libertarian, fighting for Second Amendment rights and against NDAA, unjust wars and other bad stuff. Tim Donnelly is a Conservative Republican, pro Second Amendment legislator, a rare breed these days. He's running for Governor. Code Pink is a different story. What is good about this is that we have some common interests and goals with some folks who are sometimes political opponents.
