REMEMBER THIS?

Sen. John Kerry claimed in a 1971 television interview that he threw away as many as nine of his combat medals to protest the war in Vietnam.

"I gave back, I can't remember, six, seven, eight, nine medals," Kerry said in an interview on a Washington, D.C., news program on WRC-TV called Viewpoints on Nov. 6, 1971, according to a tape obtained by ABCNEWS.

Throughout his presidential campaign, Kerry has denied that he threw away any of his medals during an anti-war protest in April 1971.

Calling it a "phony controversy" instigated by the Republican party, Kerry said on Good Morning America today that he has always accurately said what took place. "I threw my ribbons. I didn't have my medals. It is very simple."

Kerry was asked if he gave back the Bronze Star, Silver Star and three Purple Hearts he was awarded for combat duty as a Navy lieutenant in Vietnam. "Well, and above that, [I] gave back the others," he said.

The statement directly contradicts Kerry's most recent claims on the disputed subject to the Los Angeles Times last Friday. "I never ever implied that I did it, " Kerry told the newspaper, responding to the question of whether he threw away his medals in protest.

"I'm proud of my medals. I always was proud of them," he told Jennings in December, adding that he had only thrown away his "ribbons" and the medals of two other veterans who could not attend the protest.

Flip Flop?

Kerry acknowledged the medals he threw away were, in fact, another soldier's medals. He reportedly invited a union official home to personally inspect his Silver Star, Bronze Star and three Purple Hearts, awarded for his combat duty as a Navy lieutenant.

In the 1971 Viewpoints interview, he made no mention of the ribbons or the medals belonging to another veteran.

And in 1988, Kerry again clarified his statement by saying he threw out ribbons he had been awarded for three combat wounds, but not his medals. "I was proud of my personal service and remain so," he told the National Journal.

Eight years later in 1996, Kerry said while he did throw out his ribbons, he didn't throw out his own medals because he "didn't have time to go home [to New York] and get them," he told The Boston Globe.

Part 1 of this series, ”John Kerry’s Red Roots”, traced the roots of John Kerry’s foreign policy views to the influence of a faction of the State Department led by Dean Acheson, protégé of the Communist fellow traveller Felix Frankfurter. Part 2, "Forging a Paper Hero", exposed how Kerry managed to conceal his left-wing background by cloaking himself in the guise of a war hero. This article picks up the story with Kerry’s abuse of his stolen valor, when he came home from Vietnam and wore an American uniform while speaking on behalf of groups representing America’s Communist enemies.

Kerry Exposes US Spy, Gets People's Hero Medal Award

Senator John Kerry, who after losing the 2004 election was purged and declared "non-person" byCommunistsForKerry.com(CFK), a powerful pressure group that acts as a shadow Politburo behind the DNC, may now be forgiven and allowed to resume his revolutionary duties for his successful exposure of a CIA spy yesterday.

At a hearing to discuss the nomination of John Bolton as US ambassador to the United Nations, politicians discussed a dispute over Bolton's treatment of an intelligence analyst, referred to as "Mr Smith." But when Kerry read from a transcript of closed door interviews he gave out the name of Fulton Armstrong that had not previously come up.

"The Party sees everything," said an unnamed CFK source. "The revolutionary discipline calls for the use of ‘sticks and carrots' or as we refer to them ‘medals and purges.' And when Kerry saw the opportunity to expose a CIA spy and heroically jumped at it with total disregard for his reputation, we say he deserves a medal. This one is not going to be thrown away like the others!" the source added with a cheerless smile.

"We vehemently deny the scurrilous rumors that after losing the election to imperialist Bush we packed Comrade Kerry in a box car to the Outer Siberia and that we replaced him with a cardboard cutout in the Senate. There has never been a mixup at the railroad station as Comrade Kerry was impossible to tell apart from his cutout. What a ridiculous charge! We don't waste people's money on packing box cars with cardboard cutouts! This is a big imperialist lie! Besides, the guilty have already been punished. Discipline is discipline."

"There remains a matter of John Kerry T-Shirts that we sell to raise funds for the Revolution," continued the CFK source. "We still stand by those. The message still hasn't lost its clout - Who Is John Kerry, really?"

This is not the first medal Kerry receives from the Politburo. The first medal he got was for heroic achievements in space exploration for the good of the oppressed workers and minorities. This title and medal are given to those who selflessly kill themselves with work for little or no pay.

We have lost this election because Americans obdurately continue to believe in old myths and archaic nonsense about themselves. We shall continue to scorch it out of their murky skulls with our red-hot burning Pravda! Re-education is the key! Our agents in the academia, mass media, and trivial entertainment divisions have failed to sway the voting populace into embracing their true nature as a mote of a vast collective! The guilty shall be purged. Our efforts shall be quadrupled. Resistance is futile!

We have put together a list of national myths entertained by our foes we would do well to eliminate by stealth or worse in the new Four-Year Plan. Circulate widely.

In addition to his previous campaign promises meant to improve the life situation for those who resent the nature of capitalism at the expense of those who are quite happy with it, Senator John F. Kerry has now announced a plan to harness the very nature itself.

"The Bush administration has mislead Americans about hurricanes," Kerry announced to his supporters. "I believe I can fight a more effective, more thoughtful, more strategic, more proactive, more sensitive war on hurricanes."

In addition to his previous campaign promises meant to improve the life situation for those who resent the nature of capitalism at the expense of those who are quite happy with it, Senator John F. Kerry has now announced a plan to harness the very nature itself.

Speaking at the UNITY 2004 Conference in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, the presidential candidate unveiled his project to build a gigantic Hurricane Shield off the coast of Florida.

"The Bush administration has mislead Americans about the threat posed by the hurricanes," Kerry announced to his supporters. "I believe I can fight a more effective, more thoughtful, more strategic, more proactive, more sensitive war on hurricanes."

John Kerry then answered questions from concerned environmental activists about the potential impact of this new technology on environment. Kerry explained that it would be completely environmentally friendly. For the most part it would use hot air from Terry McAuliffe and James Carville to rebuff advancing storms. For stronger, category 4 and 5 hurricanes, Kerry said they would simply get the hurricane to enroll in some kind of government program or socialized healthcare. This would use up all the hurricane's own energy in the constant circular motion and cause it to go nowhere or even backwards if really successful.

Communists For Kerry were among the first to submit their design proposals.

KERRY HONORED AT COMMUNIST MUSEUM

A Ho Chi Minh City museum that honors Vietnam war protesters features a photograph of Sen. John Kerry being greeted by the general secretary of the Communist Party, Comrade Do Muoi.

A spokesman with Kerry’s national campaign did not return a call from WND seeking comment.

The snapshot of the display, which depicts a July 1993 meeting, was forwarded to Epstein by Bob Shirley, one of more than 200 members of Swift Boat Veterans for the Truth who signed an open letterquestioning Kerry’s fitness to serve as commander in chief.

Epstein said the picture of the display was taken by Bill Lupetti, a Swift Boat Veteran who currently is visiting Vietnam.

Epstein said the display photograph’s “unquestionable significance lies in its placement in the American protesters’ section of the War Crimes Museum” in Ho Chi Minh City, the former Saigon.

“The Vietnamese communists clearly recognize John Kerry’s contributions to their victory,” he said. “This find can be compared to the discovery of a painting of Neville Chamberlain hanging in a place of honor in Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest in 1945.”

Relationship to Democratic Socialists of America

John Kerry appears to have a relationship with the Boston local of Democratic Socialists of America. In 2002 Boston DSA held their 24th annual Debs-Thomas-Bernstein awards.

Kerry sent greetings to the 25th annual dinner in 2002-as did Massachussetts Congressman James McGovern and Mike Capuano.[12]

Thanks to everyone who helped make this evening a success, including Barbara Ackermann of MASS-CARE, Jim St. George of TEAM, and longtime DSAers Fran and Jake Schlitt for their eloquent introductions... and Congressmen Mike Capuano and Jim McGovern, Senator John Kerry, and last year’s awardee Dessima Williams, who sent greetings.
