The Tea Party movement has taken the nation by storm, in spite of attempts by the media and establishment to first ignore it, then dismiss it and now use all the tools in their Alinsky toolbox against it. Initially protesting high taxes, spending and bailouts, it is maturing into a political movement that advocates a return to a constitutional republic, fiscal prudence and restoration of liberties.

What is the Tea Party movement if not a movement for a return to founding principles? What is it but a movement to DEMAND that the Constitution, the sacred document that every man and woman in uniform throughout our nation's history has taken an oath to, be upheld and defended by those who hold elected power?
It is nothing more or nothing less than that. When it becomes more... when the Tea Party gets involved with dozens of minute local issues, I think it gets confused and its message becomes weakened. There is NO PROBLEM at all with Tea Party people getting involved at a local level. I think this is VERY commendable, and it's very important to the restoration of our Republic, but the Tea Party is about governing based on the Constitution... it is primarily about reigning in Federal usurpation on individual rights and the rights of the States. In some limited ways, it may be about State issues, insofar as those have to do with issues which are fundamental to our survival as a Constitutional Republic of limited government and Popular Sovereignty.
This is my strong opinion. The Tea Party's great strength is that it is not an organization tied to a central authority and a changing agenda. It is a MOVEMENT, from the grassroots of our Country, all over the United States, to restore our Constitution to its place of preeminence and Power. Yet, this strength is also potentially a great weakness of the Tea Party. Where there is no central authority or group, the message can become muted and the impact weakened. We have to STAY ON MESSAGE and not get distracted by too many issues.

You really can't get much more political than that :-). Maybe it's just semantics.
The question is, how do we "kick out" our government? There are multiple ways:
1- Vote out the party in power
2- Clean up the party you support
3- Legally challenge unconstitutional political actions
4- Exert major pressure on those in power via demonstrations, boycott, withholding of campaign contributions
5- "Starve the beast" by withholding tax revenues
6- Stage a "velvet revolution," via forcing out those in power
7. Really revolt-Invoke Declaration of Independence- declare the government null and void, start over
We are into the first three and getting into number four. Even the founding fathers went through all the stages and declared all out revolution only when ALL other alternatives had been exhausted.
Some say the that the system has been rigged, via oligarchic control of the media, lockout of "third parties," elitist application of political funding, selective interpretation of the Constitution, etc., that are effectively blocking #1-3 and weakening #4, similar to Venezuela or even Iran. While I don't believe that we are as bad as those countries, we are headed that way at an alarming pace.
Some people are trying to clean up one of the parties to do our will, with only minor results so far, I just heard they were willing to compromise on not "shutting down the government" for 2 weeks and were rewarded with a four (4) billion dollar cut in the budget.

Most of the budget isn't even constitutional.
They are very cautious and timid, because of the unfavorable propaganda surrounding the 1995 “shutdown.”
None of the existing Congressional leaders are capable of setting us on the right course. John Boehner is weak, although he has moved in a more Conservative direction over time. Forget about Eric Cantor- I have no idea how he even got there. The Democrat Senate leadership is opposed to most of what we want. Mitch McConnell, Senate Minority Leader, is quite weak, although we have stalwarts such as Jim DeMint, a near antithesis of his fellow SC Senator, Lindsey Graham, who has been busy supporting Marxist Supreme Court appointees, cap and trade, loosening immigration laws, increasing statist control, etc. We have more good Congresmen than we have had in a long time, but it remains to be seen whether we have enough and whether they will eventually be co-opted by the system. We all know what a disaster that the Obama Administration has been.
There are some who believe that it is good to have the Progressives in charge of federal and CA govt., because they are so horrible that the people will wake up and reject the outcomes that are created. The last election suggests that might be at least partially true (but NOT in CA).
I believe that the financial and social consequences of policies in the last century will be so bad that we will have a major financial and economic crash, no matter who is in charge. It is already too late. The system is only being propped up now by extremely immoral policies of confiscation, bailout, illegal government policies and outright fraud and counterfeiting of our currency, via “QE,” zero interest rates and other catastrophic policies, designed to keep an elite in power, regardless of the consequences.
I believe that Obama and his Marxists (disguised under other names) actually DID “create or save” millions of jobs, but at an unbelievably expensive price, with catastrophic future consequences. The result is enormous debt, much of it hidden as unfunded liabilities, or off-balance sheet “bailouts,” future higher interest rates, far smaller portion of revenues as discretionary funds, and snowballing inflation, perhaps to become hyperinflation, destroying the U.S. dollar.
It has not escaped my notice that the Bush administration, predecessors and previous Congresses, all did major damage to our nation as well, but the current administration and last Congress took it to a new level of insanity.
So, what is your solution?
I have a rather simple solution...
If America would just unite as one voice against these oppressors, if only for a week, and we could get a majority of the people in this nation to get into their cars on a Monday morning, pull out onto a freeway and just park with a sign in the window, "Out of Gas, Overtaxed, and Without Representation.... So please step down and let the people back in power". And just leave all the cars on the freeway, don't show up for work, don't buy anything but necessities, and say we won't quit until they quit. That would do it.
America is BANKRUPT and even the Chinese won't loan us any more money. Starve the politicians out of office. Give them no more of your money.
If you must work, change your W2 to say Exempt. It's your right and they can't do anything about it.
If the majority of the people would just take hold of these little things, then big things would happen. Already, 1/3 of the people don't pay taxes, so let's make it 4/5 of the population. Maybe the rich 1% might try to sustain the nation, but I doubt it. They are seasoned investors that know that when a corporations stock is failing, it's time to get out of the investment, not dump more into it.
Well then, let's wake them up!!! It all starts with 1 or 2 people and I guarantee it to be a wild fire. Who's with me? Who is willing to put their money where their mouth is. If no one will stand with me, then why should I even try to rescue a nation of satisfied souls. I will go to Egypt and stand with people who have resolve enough to stand.
Really, what happened to the American spirit? Patriots have become pseudo politicians thinking that anyone at the top will listen to petitions and pleas. They don't care and they hold America in a strangle-hold. It's time to get out of the TV and back into real life. The cops are part of the corrupt establishment, not the good guys bringing peace to the land. I know that TV portrays the FBI, NCIS, and alll those other cops shows as real, but they aren't even close.
When someone can say that you have done something, and you can go to jail based on an accusation, that's when you realize that liberty is a joke in this country. I have been falsely accused and smeared by people who hate me because I speak the truth. I know what it is to the target. It sucks, but if being the target will eventually set my people free, then I guess it's what I have to do.
YOu see, America wasn't a mass of people who were Self-Consumed, introverted, and exclusionary... No. We were indeed a people who stretched ourselves beyond self and saw an opportunity to secure something great for our posterity, and for others. We stood against oppressors without considering ourselves more valuable than the liberties of millions.
I too often stand alone on the front lines of a war that rages in the hearts and minds of people all across this nation. But because I stand alone, I am usually pushed aside and considered a single radical who is disgruntled. While everyone who I talk to says they are tired of jobs shipped out overseas, high taxes, injustice, loss of freedom, but none of them will stand with me. I don't mind that I represent the voices of thousands, but I need the support of those thousands if I am to represent them with some level of effectiveness. It would be even better that we all band together and stood against them who give us reason to complain about our conditions.
So I will say this once again.... either shut up your complaining, or stand up against your oppressor.
We are entering that all to critical phase in out time that reflects that of pre-Nazi Germany where politicians are saying that they will recover our wasted economy, they tell us they will lock down those who oppose the government, they will name certain groups as criminal, they will take the freedom of the press to report the truth and substitute it with lies and propaganda that will win the hearts of the people. You will be the Youth of America, just like the Nazi yugan.
But wait, which of the above hasn't already happened? Are we Americans so blind that we don't see history coming full circle that it is repeating once again? I believe that James Madison once said, "Consider history so that you are not bound to repeat it." Compare the times past with the times present, I dare you to just take a look into your history and the history of the world going back as far a Pharaoh in the time when the Jews inhabited the land of Goshen. History is cyclic and is befalling a people who have forgotten to consider it.
We can stand up or keep on talking. The Egyptians made their choice. They threw off their bonds and stood up. And I say, they did it with excellence. They stood in a non-violent way against their oppressors and won. We too can make a stand, if we would just take hold of the resolve that the Egyptian people displayed.
I don't remember the Boston Tea Party ever becoming a pseudo political group, but rather a group of activists that were active. They did not talked. So pattern the Tea Party of the day in their honor. Let our founding fathers be proud to father our nation.
This is no new thing. Anytime the PEOPLE make a stand against the current regime, the Government and those who are aligned to it, (namely the rich who have a vested interest in keeping it) will infiltrate to try to smear the organization. It even happens internationally in so much that when our government wants something from a foreign nation, they will send CIA to divide the people against their own governments through propaganda wars and eventually form a coup de gras to overthrow that nation and set up a puppet government that is aligned to it's agenda.
We need not be worried about these people who try to infiltrate our organization, but rather be aware of them and press on as if they don't exist. To fight them head to head is exactly what they want because it distracts us from our goal. Stay focused and lets regain the power of the people and eliminate the oppressive powers of this regime that would enslave us to it's agenda.
3 Trappings That Could End The Tea Party

This tax day will be the second anniversary of the Tea Party movement's colossal launch across America that upended the political landscape. In just two years the Tea Party has become a political powerhouse, and the success lies with the hundreds of thousands of patriots who have helped make a difference.

I wrote this on March 9th and sat on it because I found myself confronting my own human nature and the internal struggle of living up to what I know to be true. Sometimes reacting with anger is simply the way we would like to go because venting offers a type of relief. The effective patriot must cultivate a paradoxical and counterintuitive mindset.
It's not about blaming ourselves, it's about empowerment. The area of maximum effectiveness in the universe I inhabit is the attitudes and thoughts I allow in my own mind. If I change me, if I draw that line in the sand and take a stand, I change the whole world. I am powerless to enforce change in others, but I am mighty if I am willing to persuade with example and forthright and effective communication.
We change the world one person, one mind at a time and the easiest place to start is with ourselves. This is not irrelevant psychobabble; it is the real world in practice.
As I become better informed, I have more to share. As I practice tolerance, not of the victim doormat variety, but in a gentle teacher mode, I influence. I do not compel. As the old saying goes, a mind changed against its will is of the same opinion still.
The goal is to help others have that “Ah-Ha” experience. We are enablers in the sense that we want to see the smile that reflects the dawning of the light of truth. This does not happen with a bludgeon. It happens when you realize that in possessing the truth, you have the cookie and if you offer it properly, in the end, eventually, everybody wants the cookie. You don’t force feed it. You offer it. If someone isn’t ready: NEXT! You have better things to do than to pee into the wind.
Passion is a must but if we forget that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, we fail to notice when our passion is received as anger or nagging and rather than an open mind, our approach causes others to raise their defenses. Likewise, we need to accept that there are many who are entrenched in their views. Don’t waste your time. Find someone who is hungry.
Obviously, as conservatives we believe that liberals are standing in quicksand, their wagons are hauling emotional baggage, their minds are darkened by a plethora of baseless opinions disengaged from fact, and if they are among the elite, they alone can claim to be a member of the rare and pure among us who can get up from the morning throne and swear to the presence of the fragrance of lilacs as they lift their trousers.
But the ordinary run of the mill liberal is usually a misinformed but well intentioned and otherwise decent human being who just happens to be wrong. Since the mind expanding awareness of Obama’s pathologies has crept into the consciousness of the voting public, many of them have internalized a sense of unease and can smell the rot.
No one wants to be wrong. None of us part easily with our cherished beliefs, but most of us will keep one eye open to find the door that leads to a new comfort zone if our foundations are shaken.
Make no mistake about it. The liberal next door is probably one of the many sleeping Americans who have simply surrendered unwittingly to the programming of the Progressive elites and their liberal media cohorts. In the right circumstances, free from peer pressure, if offered the cookie and not the stick, they’ll sneak a nibble.
Think about it, a mind starved of truth, swallowing mental swill from the pigsty of liberalism. How can they not be hungry? How long can you eat poison and not get an upset stomach? Set it up, watch for the smile cause, baby, that nibble of the truth cookie tastes good. It satisfies.
I start with me. You start with you. We find someone hungry. We share a delicacy with them: truth, served on a platter of resolute determination, garnished with kindness, tempered with understanding. After all who among us has not overslept or pressed the snooze button more than once? I’m not talking phony Pollyanna pleasant here, but you don’t make an ally out of an enemy.
For the love of God don’t jam a funnel down their throat and unload a fifty pound bag of cookie dough in it. They WILL throw up and run like hell. Bring them along. Offer them reading, websites, social media. Try to share compelling information and insights in smaller doses.
Stay away from the deep edged fringe when you talk to someone you want to win to liberty’s cause, even if you’re convinced that you have uncovered the ultimate truth, because the uninitiated will not relate to you and will not be able to overcome their suspicion that you are a fruitcake and are a danger to the world as they perceive it. Their eyes will glaze over, they will internally shut you down, and they will back away.
And for the record, ff you tell me you don’t care about that, then you’re a jaded fool and I guarantee you’re a liability to the cause of freedom, not an asset. I am repulsed by arrogance because it plays into the enemy’s hands.
Stick to core values and principles based on our country’s Founding documents. I remember always that I am a sovereign man under God and so is the person I’m talking to even if we disagree. And offer something really radical: patience and non judgmental friendship. It’s the first step to becoming an effective Patriot.
