Will YOU Save Freedom in 2013? Catch The Tea Party Wave

The U.S. Senate houses much of the nation's political "aristocracy." Senators have great power and visibility, much more concentrated than in the House of Representatives, where members represent less than a quarter of  the people that a Senator does. The Senate also confirms key judicial positions, treaties, makes laws with the House and can even remove a President after the House impeaches one.

The Senate has been mostly under control of the Democrats since WWII. The Democrat supermajority over several years enabled them to ram through Obamacare and much else very damaging legislation and appointments, including Sotomayer, Kagan, Geithner and more, although RINO's assisted with that.

The 2010 election greatly reduced that Democrat majority, which may be eliminated, if the oposition plays its cards right in 2012. However, it would be a very hollow victory if RINO's are put in place of Democrats.

Although this forum discussion is for the California race, key strategic races in other states are equally important and more likely to be won by candidates with priorities closer to Tea party interests.

Greetings Patriots,

Tonight we are very pleased to announce that, with 71% of the votes cast, the DAN HUGHES campaign for United States Senate has earned an iCaucus endorsement. We'd also like to thank the other two candidates, John Boruff and Rabbi Nachum Shifren, for their participation in the endorsement process. While all three individuals are highly capable, you as citizens have chosen to support DAN HUGHES in his mission to unseat Diane Feinstein.

With the liberal agenda causing more troubling news to surface daily on both the federal and state levels, the time is ripe for DAN HUGHES to take his message of ethically responsible, fiscally conservative, Constitutionally grounded representation to the people of California. DANcan use all the assistance we can provide, so please do your part to spread his message and support his campaign.

Additional good news is that RALPH DENNEY received 83% yes votes to capture the iCaucus endorsement in CA's 78th Assembly District. This district is currently represented by liberal Marty Block who consistently votes to fund expenditures for illegal aliens, and has proposed a new California State University at National City. This is just the kind of fiscal irresponsibilty we must, and will, eliminate by electing RALPH DENNEY.

Reminders...

Balloting has opened for Xanthi Gionis (CD-51) and Randy Loftin (CD-5), and is opening this evening for Gregg Imus (CD-8). All three of these contests will close this coming Sunday. Please VOTE!

Tomorrow, balloting will be opening for Martha Flores-Gibson (AD-70) andJohn Webb (CD-45). You have a great opportunity to elect some outstanding representatives, so be sure to take advantage while you can.

Go to http://www.icaucus.org, mouse over the Resources tab and select State Races 2012 from the drop down menu, then click on California Races. Please contact me with any questions!

Fellow Conservatives:

If you want to stop the massive growth of our federal government and save America's future, we must change the United States Senate.

Harry Reid and the Democrats control the Senate today and, unfortunately, we still have too many Republicans who lack the courage to fight for our nation's founding principles.

As a Senator who works each day to stop the massive spending, bailouts, and debt that are destroying our country, I can tell you that we desperately need conservative reinforcements.

This is why I founded the Senate Conservatives Fund back in 2008 and it's why SCF is working so hard today to elect a new group of leaders in 2012 who will fight to turn this country around.

Will you help change the Senate?

The Senate Conservatives Fund has endorsed eight conservative candidates who will help strip Harry Reid of control of the Senate and fight the liberal policies that are bankrupting our country.

Candidates

These eight candidates are unique in that they have conservative records, have earned support from the grassroots in their states, and have the courage to stand up for our values -- even if it means going against their own party's leadership.

These candidates support all of SCF's policy goals, including:

  • Cutting spending to balance the budget
  • Repealing Obamacare entirely
  • Securing the borders and oppose amnesty
  • Stopping corporate bailouts
  • Banning earmarks
  • Establishing term limits
  • Defending the 2nd Amendment
  • Protecting human life

The Senate Conservatives Fund is doing two important things to help its endorsed candidates win in November.

First, SCF is raising money for each of the candidates from donors all across the nation. Money alone does not win elections, but the lack of money can certainly lose them.

Second, SCF is running powerful TV and radio ads to counter the opposition and drive home our side's message of economic freedom and prosperity.

So if you want to do something really meaningful and effective to save our country, please support the Senate Conservatives Fund and its endorsed candidates TODAY.

Help Change the Senate ...

SCF makes it possible for you to donate directly to its eight endorsed candidates so they receive 100% of your donations.

This is a very unique approach for a third-party group and it shows exactly how committed SCF is to helping these candidates. It's also why the POLITICO newspaper called SCF a "wildly successful small-donor fundraising machine."

These are exceptional candidates who have overcome long odds to get this far, and now they urgently need your help to win in November.

Time is running out and we must work together to send true conservative leaders to Washington this year.

Thank you for doing what you can to help turn this country around.

Sincerely,

Jim DeMint

Jim DeMint
United States Senator

P.S. If we're going to save America, we must fire Harry Reid and change the United States Senate. Without a conservative Senate, we'll never stop the massive spending, bailouts, and debt that are destroying this great country. Please make a contribution to support the eight Senate candidates endorsed by the Senate Conservatives Fund today.

The Senate Conservatives Fund is a grassroots organization with more than 100,000 members that raises money for conservative candidates running for the U.S. Senate. SCF is an independent organization and is not affiliated with the Republican Party or any of its campaign committees.

Dear George.:

Thank you for contacting me to express your concerns regarding the Law of the Sea Treaty.  I appreciate the time you took to write, and I welcome the opportunity to respond.

As you may know, the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, first negotiated by the Reagan Administration, establishes a legal regime governing activities on, over, and under the world's oceans.  The treaty, in addition to defining a country's territorial waters and establishing exclusive economic zones, provides military and commercial access to critical trade and supply routes and establishes a legal basis for naval action against stateless vessels like those used in piracy, trafficking, and terrorism.  Currently, the United States must assert maritime rights through customary international law, which is open to dispute and change that may be detrimental to our interests, rather than firmly established treaty law.

I understand that you have strong reservations about this Convention, and I have made note of them.  After the United States' initial concerns regarding deep seabed mining were addressed, President Clinton signed the treaty in 1994 and sent it to the Senate for ratification.  On October 31, 2007, the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations voted favorably to send this treaty to the full Senate for consideration, but no action has yet been taken by the full Senate.  Please be assured that I will keep your concerns in mind as the Senate continues to debate ratification of this treaty.

Once again, thank you for writing.  If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact my Washington, D.C. office at (202) 224-3841, or visit my website at www.feinstein.senate.gov. ; Best regards.

Sincerely yours,

  Dianne Feinstein

2012 U.S. Senate: Recommended Candidates to Support

A Republican win of the Senate is critical to saving America. With the House and Senate, we can repeal Obamacare, or at least defund it if Obama holds the Presidency. Not all the candidates below are staunch conservatives, but they help Republican chances of taking the Senate.

This list was compiled using the following criteria:

  • Races where there is a Republican candidate that has a chance to win but needs support (“safe” Repub. seats are not listed, nor are those that lean or are “safe” Democrat) Sources: Cook, Real Clear Politics, Election Projection, etc.
  • Trusted endorsements (Tea Party, Palin, Levin, Hewitt, DeMint, Cain, etc.)
  • Military service
  • Swing states (candidate can ride Romney’s spending coat tails)
  • On-line punditry, talk radio, etc.

KARL ROVE'S POLITICAL EPITAPH

Exclusive: Joseph Farah urges Republicans to remember 'treachery' of 'the architect'

Published: 3 hours ago

If Sen. Claire McCaskill wins re-election in Missouri Tuesday, it should serve as Karl Rove’s political epitaph.

It was Karl Rove, the so-called “architect,” who determined months ago that her opponent, a true conservative Republican, was unworthy of support from the Republican Party and his political action committee, which had collected, under false pretenses, hundreds of millions of dollars to elect Republicans to the House and Senate and presidency.

Rove went so far as to joke about murdering Todd Akin, the Republican chosen by the people of Missouri to challenge McCaskill.

Rove’s excuse was a poor choice of words by Akin in explaining his pro-life stance – and why he believed that murdering innocent babies in the womb, including in the case of rape, is immoral. Despite Akin’s apology for the remark, Rove didn’t open up the money spigots for him. Despite Akin’s quick forgiveness of Rove’s outlandish and despicable remarks, Rove’s hard heart toward Akin was only hardened.

As of this writing, the polls show Akin and McCaskill in a statistical dead heat.

That would not be the case if Rove did what he told donors to his PAC he would do with their money – support Republican nominees to the House and Senate.

Instead, Rove chose to withhold support from Akin – support that would clearly have made the difference in this race.

McCaskill was always seen as one of the most vulnerable incumbent Democrats in the U.S. Senate. Rove knew that. But it changed nothing for him. He didn’t like Akin before his slip of the tongue. He simply needed a rationalization for not spending PAC money to support a candidate he didn’t like. He had supported someone else for the GOP nomination, and that was that.

Rove has illusions of being a kingmaker. And too many Republicans have bought into that illusion.

But, win, lose or draw in Missouri, what happens there next Tuesday should spell the end of those illusions. Rove’s behavior in this race should, if there is any justice in this world, spell his political epitaph.

If he is indeed the “architect,” as he likes to be called, he will be the architect of helping an Obama-style Democrat win re-election in Missouri. If ever there were a race where a little bit of money could have made the difference in a Senate election, the Akin race was it.

If elephants truly don’t forget, Republicans need to remember what happened in Missouri.

Rove betrayed the principle of getting a Republican majority in the Senate. Even if Republicans should achieve a majority in the Senate without Akin, it shouldn’t make a bit of difference to the money men who supported his strategy with their dollars.

This was treachery against an honest, conservative Republican who made a little mistake in favor of a Democrat who is one big, walking, talking mistake.

Do I overstate the case?

I don’t think so.

With friends like Karl Rove, real Republicans don’t need enemies.

This is a plea to all those Republican donors who have supported Karl Rove, who has enriched himself, glorified himself and played god with their financial support: Don’t get fooled again.

I personally expect Republican candidates for president, for the House and for the Senate to do remarkably well next Tuesday. But don’t credit Rove. Rove chose only to support Republican candidates who would do his bidding. This is a power game with Rove.

If Republicans do well on Tuesday, it will be in spite of Rove and the Republican establishment, not because of their decisions on how to spend money and allocate resources.

If Claire McCaskill is re-elected, blame Rove – and never forget.

Senate Battle

Not only did we NOT dislodge the Democrats from Control opf the Senate , but we actually lost two seats

http://www.wnd.com/2012/11/control-of-senate-on-pins-and-needles/

In addition, Harry Reid is trying to eliminate provisions of the filibuster, so he can ram through more Marxists into the Supreme Court, to keep Kagan, Sotomayer and Ginsburg company.

Dump Lindsey Graham

Dear Patriot,

Lindsey Graham has been eager to sell out every conservative value as the opportunity arises, so it should come as no surprise that he was one of the 16 GOP Senators who let Harry Reid's gun control bill get a vote in the Senate.

With each passing day it becomes more obvious: Lindsey Graham must go!

We've made replacing Lindsey Graham with a conservative voice priority #1 for 2014. Unfortunately, with all his years cozying up to special interests in Washington, Graham will be prepared for a slug fest. But we can't let that stop us!

We're ready to bring the fight to Lindsey Graham and to send him packing, and our strength has always been in numbers. Literally hundreds of thousands of people will get this email, and in order to meet our goal today all we need is for 10 people to join our Patriots List by making a donation of $100 or more

Will you be on of the ten patriots to stand up to defeat Lindsey Graham? Make your donation --HERE--

Democratic Sen. Max Baucus plans to retire and not seek a seventh term next year, setting up a scramble by both parties in conservative-leaning Montana.

Reposted fromwww.usatoday

The news was first reported Tuesday by The Washington Post and confirmed by the Associated Press, citing unnamed Democratic officials. A formal announcement by the senator is likely today.

Baucus, 71, is chairman of the powerful Senate Finance Committee, which holds broad sway over tax policy, health care and other issues. Last week, he raised the ire of gun-control supporters when he broke ranks with President Obama and most of the majority Democrats to oppose a plan to expand background checks on gun purchases.

The senator explained he was siding with residents of Montana who are "overwhelmingly opposed to new gun-control laws." Baucus was one of three Democrats up for re-election in 2014 to vote against the gun proposal and had been the target of an ad blitz by a liberal group.

Baucus' surprise decision will probably launch a pitched battle in Montana, which Obama lost by nearly 14 percentage points in the 2012 presidential election. Democrats have 21 seats to defend next year vs. 14 for Republicans. The GOP needs six seats to gain power in the Senate.

As a legislator, Baucus had been a central figure in crafting major legislation such as Obama's health care law and the tax cuts enacted by President George W. Bush. He was likely to play a key role in overhauling the nation's tax code, from his post as chairman of the tax-writing Finance panel.

Baucus, first elected in 1978, had raised $1.5 million in the first three months of the year for another campaign and had $5 million in the bank.

There are six Democrats in the Senate who have announced their retirements, including in Iowa, West Virginia and South Dakota where Republicans also have high hopes of picking up an open seat. Two Republicans are retiring.

Sen. Michael Bennet of Colorado, chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, hailed Baucus' legislative work and vowed the party will fight to hold the Montana seat. He noted Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., was just re-elected in November, after a bruising campaign against Republican Denny Rehberg that featured millions of dollars in outside spending from independent groups.

"Democrats have had a great deal of electoral success in Montana over the last decade, and I am confident that will continue," Bennet said in a statement. "Democrats built an unprecedented ground game in Montana in 2012 when Sen. Tester was re-elected, and we will continue to invest all the resources necessary to hold this seat."

Former Montana governor Brian Schweitzer, a Democrat, has long been viewed as a likely Senate candidate. A Public Policy Polling survey taken in February showed Schweitzer would be a stronger candidate in a 2014 general election than Baucus and would lead potential GOP candidates by double digits.
