Proposition 37 Regulations Mandatory Labeling of Genetically Engineered Food YES

Proposition 39 Taxes Income Tax Increase for Multi-state Businesses NO

Proposition 31 – State Budget, State & Local – This proposition sets up regional government entities (unelected, of course) that can literally take money from local government bodies that have it, and transfer it elsewhere, to fund favored activities. Authored by progressives (California Forward & CA Fwd Action Fund contributed $750,000).

For reference, read up on “Agenda 21” – here’s a couple of links – (note: this is not some “fringe” movement or conspiracy. It is a 20 year old United Nations agenda & program that has spread widely. The Ventura County “Save our Open Space” is part of this agenda, for example). Couple of links to get you started: - a bit wordy, but gets the point across that opposition to it is not some “right wingnut” group. - - shows LA, Ventura County as members - the UN web site.
Vote NO on 31

Vote NO on 37 – After reading more on the origins & author of this initiative, and the text itself, I have concluded that it is a legal scam; Here’s text from the Legislative Analyst description of the bill – which shows the legal scam that is at its core. The rest of the text is vague and has various exceptions, definitions, etc., but the heart of it is how it is enforced, and on who (only private businesses, not government). I apologize as I missed these aspects in my first pass at reading on the bill.

“Litigation to Enforce the Measure. Violations of the measure could be prosecuted by state, local, or private parties. It allows the court to award these parties all reasonable costs incurred in investigating and prosecuting the action. In addition, the measure specifies that consumers could sue for violations of the measure’s requirements under the state Consumer Legal Remedies Act, which allows consumers to sue without needing to demonstrate that any specific damage occurred as a result of the alleged violation.”

What this means is that ANY citizen (i.e., a lawyer) can file a legal action in court, without having to demonstrate being injured in any way, and be awarded legal costs, etc. A previous similar initiative was Prop 65, which has been a lawyer’s business development engine.
This measure is not a requirement by the State of California to enforce or establish standards of labeling. As much as we might dislike the FDA, frequently labeling & other such regulations are worked out with the industry so as to accomplish the regulation’s objectives without adding significant cost to the regulated business activity. This is not the case with Prop 37, so I am voting NO.

Thanks Sandy:  would you please post on our propositions forum, too? Also would like to hear your views on local elections- see

Greetings Patriots,

With just over 30 days remaining until the General Election, iCaucus in California has stayed very, very busy promoting our endorsed candidates and fielding continuing requests for endorsement from new candidates.
As of today, iCaucus has endorsed 19 candidates for federal, state, and local offices within California. Additionally, 5 more candidates have completed their interviews and their conferencing periods should be opening within 24 to 48 hours. A 6th candidate was interviewed this evening, and a 7th is scheduled for an interview this Thursday.
As we said, very, very busy!

Our CA endorsed candidate list now stands as follows...

JIM MILLER San Diego Superior Court Judge, Seat 25

KATHY SPACONE El Cajon City Council

MAGGIE ACERRA Santee City Council

We at are trying to reach out to the undecided, too busy to get informed, and disinterested or disillusioned voter to see if we can inspire them to come out in November and vote. We feel the election will have lasting impact on what America will look like in the future and every citizen should cast a vote to help set that course. The problem is, those voters just described are often the last voters who will be seeking out information. Unfortunately they will likely be exposed to some of the candidate’s ads or see a few of the Sunday Morning or Evening news shows. Those sources are so biased these days that it is tantamount to disinformation.

So we are asking you to forward the following link to at least two people you know who are possibly undecided and ask them to simply take a look at the post and browse the site.

November Propositions on the Ballot

Dear George ,

There are two particularly important Propositions on the November ballot. I am sure you already know to vote NO on the tax increase Propositions 30, 38 and 39.  I want to give you some additional information on Proposition 31 and Proposition 32.

Proposition 31
I have provided some excerpts from articles on Prop. 31 below, and I provide links to other articles that you should read.  Proposition 31, while it purports to be about good governance, it is, in fact, a Trojan Horse, that will fundamentally change for the worse how local government works in California.

It is a long initiative so people most likely will not read the whole thing.  It actually takes power away from local governments to determine how tax money raised in their community is spent.  It renders local governments ineffective and gives power to un-elected regional commissions who will be mandated to spend money collected from suburban and rural areas inurban areas and on "green" projects. The regionalist and redistributionist sections have been taken from part of the U.N.'s Agenda 21 program.

Please read the articles linked below to get an understanding of Proposition 31.  After your read the articles I am confident you will agree that we should all vote NO on Proposition 31.

Proposition 32
Proposition 32 can save California, level the playing field and make it possible for Republican candidates to get elected because it takesspecial interest money by corporations and unions out of campaign finance for state and local candidates, and conforms it to Federal law in which neither corporations or unions can contribute to Federal candidates.  In a non-Presidential year, 2010, over $500 Million was spent by corporations and unions in direct contributions to candidates.  This kind of special interest money corrupts the integrity of elections. You should vote YES on Proposition 32.
I have included more on each proposition below.  I also have included a voter recommendation guide from the San Fernando Valley Republican Club.  The guide also conforms to the recommendations of Congressman Tom McClintock, Assemblyman Tim Donnelly, the California Republican Women Federated, the Republican Party of Los Angeles County and the California Republican Assembly.

Gary Aminoff
San Fernando Valley Republican Club.
Proposition 31

"If Prop. 31 passes, you will either have to pay much more for the privilege-upsetting the careful affordability calculations that went into the purchase of that nice home of yours-or else accept dramatically degraded services, which might force you into a private school you hadn't factored into your budget. Remember, just because your schools are likely to get worse doesn't mean your taxes will go down; in fact, they'll probably go up. Of course, you can do what millions of middle-class Californians have been doing for the past two decades: move to another state.

Prop. 31 is not merely a threat to California's still-thriving upper middle class. It's a dagger aimed at the heart of modern California. A few years ago, a national-security analyst divided the world between the "Functioning Core" and the "Non-Integrating Gap." Applying that same concept to California, we might come up with the "Functioning Coast" and the "Non-Thriving Core." Life is nice, if expensive, on theFunctioning Coast. California needs that coast and its people to survive. They run and staff the high-profile, high-profit industries that keep the state moving. They generate the lion's share of the tax revenue that funds its bloated government and keeps the interior from total collapse. Make life on the coast more expensive, or less nice, and you topple the whole house of cards.

That's what is at stake with Prop. 31. Californians may not be able to save the Golden State this November, but they can avoid making it substantially worse. I want to come home someday. It would be nice if there were a home to return to."

California's Proposition 31:  The Revolution Will Not be Publicized

"We are two months away from fundamentally transforming the State of California, and barely anyone knows it. With a five to six point

lead in the latest poll, Proposition 31 has a solid shot at passage. The measure is meant to bail out California's failing cities by creating regional super-governments empowered to raid and redistribute suburban tax money. It's the end of the system of local self-government that has served as the bedrock of American democracy since the time of the Founders - in the nation's largest state, no less. Yet virtually no one is paying attention.

Proposition 31 allows collections of local governments to pool their tax receipts. While this "tax sharing" is supposedly voluntary, the initiative sets up rewards and punishments that effectively force California's local governments to submit to redistribution, or accept second-class status instead. Once California's municipalities have been swallowed up by de facto regional super-governments, citizens will come under the thumb of officials unelected by the public they control. We're looking at redistribution without representation, an Americanized version of the undemocratic financial and political arrangements currently killing the European Union.

Yet few of the voters who favor or oppose Proposition 31 understand any of this. While the measure remakes California in the image of the controversial "regional equity movement," it's being sold and debated on entirely different grounds. Prop. 31 is a kind of mini-Obamacare, an eye-glazingly long, complex, and multi-faceted initiative that voters may actually pass before finding out what's inside."

California's Awful Proposition 31:  Is this your future?

"Wake up California. You are perilously close to ratifying Proposition 31, a sweepingly redistributionist and profoundly undemocratic transformation of your way of life, and you don't even know what's at stake. Suburbanites of California, you are the special targets of Prop. 31. Act now, or be turned into second-class citizens in your own state.

Wake up America. Look toward the regionalist revolution on California's horizon. In an era of looming municipal bankruptcies, this could be your fate: robbing the suburbs to pay for the cities. The regionalist transformation now being quietly pressed on California is exactly the sort of change President Obama has in mind for America should he win a second term. In California and America both, the 2012 election could open the door for a regionalist movement in hot pursuit of a redistributionist remaking of American life."

Proposition 31 Would Redistribute Tax Dollars

Bottom Line:  Vote NO on Proposition 31

Proposition 32
Proposition 32 does three very good things.  1)  It prevents corporations and unions from donating campaign funds directly to candidates.  2)  It prevents government contractors from contributing funds to elected officials who vote on their contracts (the Pay-to-Play system now prevalent in California) and 3)  it prevents unions and corporations from deducting amounts from the wages of members or employees funds to be used for political purposes.
Unions can still collect funds to pay for political activities from members, but they have to get the consent of the member annually.  In other words, money can't be deducted involuntarily, but requires consent.  As it stands now there are around 35-40% of union members who are Republican, yet unions spend 96% of their funds supporting Democrats or leftist initiatives.  So Republican union members are involuntarily donating to political actions of unions with which they don't agree.

You may have heard some ads that say that there are exemptions carved out of this proposition for certain corporations.  This is a lie.  You can verify this for yourself by reading the text of the proposition which you will find here.  There are no exemptions or exceptions.  It is very clear.  If Proposition 32 passes, no corporation, and no union will be able to give funds directly to any candidate.

There exists today what are called Independent Expenditure Committees, or Super-Pacs.  These exist based on the Supreme Court decision in Citizens United.  These Super-Pacs exist now, and they will exist if Proposition 32 passes.  Unions can form Super-Pacs, as can corporations.  No Super-Pac can give funds directly to candidates.

California Democratic legislators and effectively "owned" by unions. Unions contribute to their campaigns to get them elected and then expect the elected candidate to vote according to the wishes of the union. Candidates can be punished for not supporting legislation favored by unions.  Proposition 32 removes the hold that unions have on California legislators.

Bottom Line:  Vote YES on Proposition 32

The Toxic "President"

Election of a Lifetime? Definitely!  V1.3

(this was made into a video recently: )

by George Miller-  Ventura County, CA retired management consultant, husband, Conservative-Libertarian Christian, a Ventura County Tea Party leader, sea kayaker, investor and student of national issues/events.

1 -   This year, it’s TRULY The Election of a Lifetime for the Presidency.

-       We have a choice like never before, in my view, between galloping socialism, even fascism, vs. a more moderate course-- not at all the mild Liberal vs arch-Conservative contest described by the “media.”

-       We NOW have a menace in the White House: unconstitutional, out of control, hard-left Czars, reams of illegal executive orders, ideologue Supreme Court “Justices,” rogue agencies and much more, with almost no checks and balances in sight.

2 -  Incumbent  “Barack Hussein Obama”:

-       Is unqualified, arrogant, narcissistic, incompetent, anti-Constitution, Progressive, anti-life, anti-traditional marriage, anti-free enterprise, anti-energy, anti-Christian, pro Agenda 21, … an anti-American “community organizer.”

-       He has toxic beliefs, toxic associates, leading to toxic policies, which have, not surprisingly, led to the unfolding disaster our nation is facing.  In un-TelePrompted moments, he refers to people who “bitterly cling to guns and religion,” while he has previously opined that we have no right to own firearms, urges us to “spread the wealth,” tells us “you didn’t build that,” intones that our Constitution only says what the government can’t do-- and more.

-       Obama has a terrible record-- poor performance on: the economy, security, energy, education, health care & social issues.

-       He’s committed numerous impeachable offenses, such as illegal war, illegal quashing of election fraud cases, illegal flouting of court orders, such as resumption of Gulf oil drilling and a previous suspension of Obamacare, illegal firing of Inspector-General Walpole, possible involvement in the “Fast & Furious gun walking” scandal and much more.

-       His background is STILL largely hidden & unvetted, by itself a major concern.  He may not even be constitutionally eligible for office.

-       Obama can’t run on his record, or on his planned rehash of bankrupt, unworkable ideas and plans.

3 -  The main challenger, “Mitt” Romney, is someone I’m warming up to, when I consider the likely alternative:

-       A moderate Republican - not at all the arch-Conservative painted by media and opposition.

-       A highly successful businessman, savior of the Utah Olympic Games and successful Governor of Massachusetts.

-       A devoutly religious man, missionary, pastor, supporter.  Not everyone would subscribe to his church’s beliefs, but he has never attempted to impose its doctrine in any previous assignment.

-       A family man of totally unblemished integrity and faithfulness, blessed with a fine wife and children.

-       Son of famous auto executive and Governor George Romney.

-       Mitt has taken some Liberal positions in the past, making some of us hesitate to support him. However, he’s reached agreement on some critical issues sufficient to garner our support, given the situation, and certainly infinitely preferable to the incumbent’s.  He should be acceptable to most independent “swing voters,” if they really understood his positions.

-       At least he does not hate his country and free enterprise, and embraces the aspirations, culture, traditions, hopes and dreams of America.  He has ALWAYS been proud and unapologetic about his country.

-       There are worthy 3rd party challengers, but none have attained anywhere near sufficient critical mass of support, money and visibility to prevail.  So, those you might consider would siphon votes away from Obama’s only true rival in this election. And staying home just helps Obama. Can we afford that at this critical juncture?

-       Mitt has workable, realistic plans for budget, taxes, spending, entitlements, economy, energy, healthcare, which would pull us back from the cliff, incrementally manage the size of government and spending in a more fiscally prudent direction—and move the economy forward again.

-       Finally, this is not only about politics, but competence, too. Mitt Romney has proven time and time again that he can very successfully plan, organize, direct, lead, negotiate and communicate, involving complex issues and large diverse groups.  That’s TRUE executive leadership, very unlike what we have now and sorely needed to address our major national challenges.

As we've perused last week's election returns, we'd noticed a number of races where Libertarian candidates appear to have played spoiler for Republicans—certainly, more than we're accustomed to. While we haven't run a comparison with prior cycles, we've identified no fewer than nine contests in 2012 where the Libertarian received more votes than the difference between the Democratic and Republican candidates. What's more, none of these involved the typical 1 or maybe 2 percent you ordinarily expect a Lib to garner: Looking at the three-way vote, all but one were over 3 percent, and three took 6 percent or more, with a high of 6.5 percent in the Montana Senate race. These definitely seem like unusually high figures.

So what's going on here? I wouldn't want to speculate too much based on this limited data set. But I could easily believe that a growing proportion of conservative-leaning voters are too disgusted with the GOP to pull the Republican lever, but who won't vote for Democrats either, are choosing a third option and going Libertarian instead. This thesis dovetails with something else we saw this year: independents generally leaning more rightward simply because at least some former Republicans are now refusing to identify with their old party. It's not much of a stretch to imagine that some folks like that don't want to vote for their old party either.

The chart above summarizes our findings, based on preliminary data from the AP, with a big hat-tip to my colleague Jed Lewison. (Note that MI-11 refers to the unexpired term for ex-Rep. Thad McCotter's seat, not the full-two year term that starts in January.) It's too facile to say that without the Lib, every Democrat would have lost. But some very likely would have, so it's reasonable to conclude that the Libertarian Party gifted quite a few seats to Team Blue this year. Thanks, friends!

2:51 PM PT: Incidentally, here's a list of other races where a third party also played a possible role in the opposite direction. The party or parties taking more votes than the difference between the first- and second-place finishers are listed after each race. First up, Republican wins:

AZ-Sen: Libertarian
NV-Sen: "None of the above" and Independent American Party
IN-Gov: Libertarian
CO-06: Libertarian and an independent
IL-13: An independent
IN-02: Libertarian
MI-01: Libertarian and Green
And Democratic wins:
MI-11: U.S. Taxpayers (in addition to Libertarian in chart above)
NY-24: Green
It's hard to imagine the Libertarians helping Republicans in IN-Gov, CO-06, IN-02, and MI-01, just like it's hard to imagine the Green Party helping Democrats in NY-24. However, it's not inconceivable that the Green hurt Dems in MI-01, though that may have been balanced out by the Lib (who got more votes). Something similar may have happened in CO-06 as well. IL-13 is harder to read, and Nevada's unique "none of the above" option is a real scrambler, though the IAP is decidedly right-wing. So is the U.S. Taxpayers party in MI-11, but as we noted, there was also a Libertarian there as well.

Fri Nov 16, 2012 at 10:32 AM PT: Matt Welch of Reason, sort of the house organ of the Libertarian movement, makes a good point: For Andrew Horning in IN-Sen to have been a spoiler in the true sense of the word, 97% of the votes that went his way would have had to go Republican instead. That's not very likely. So here are all nine races sorted by the vote percentage taken by the Lib that would have needed to go to the GOP candidate to change the outcome:

MA-06: 22%
UT-04: 46%
MT-Gov: 48%
AZ-09: 49%
AZ-01: 55%
MT-Sen: 60%
MI-11: 65%
NH-01: 86%
IN-Sen: 97%

So, the Libertarians only had an impact on 9 races in the whole country?  Sounds like they need to do a much better job. Especially as the Republicans provided some candidates who needed alternatives. Mourdock, apparently born with a silver foot in his mouth, made his own problems. Weak GOP national support for him didn't help either.

I'm all for competent, honest Republicans who follow Republican principles and sick of those who don't. When terrible candidates are run and when major GOP people/organizations fail to support candidates, then they deserve to lose. I know it's terrible to have America-hating Progressives win instead, but perhaps that will motivate Republicans to improve their game.  Time for tough love of the Republicans. I'm tired of the B_.  Next Republican official who tells me that "I've got nowhere else to go" will get a slap in the upside of the head." And, yes, I HAVE been told that.

We had a major candidate with a terrible position on pension reform, who also pretended not to understand what Agenda 21 was, even after repeated coaching. He lost to an uber-Progressive. We had another one who is a big supporter of abortion and is already twisting words, a la Bill Clinton what is "is,' on his no tax pledge. He won.

That only 9 races nationally were affected by Libertarians speaks to three things:

1. Libertarians are still very weak.

2. The vast majority of Conservatives and Libertarians voted Republican, to keep uber-Progressives out

3. Millions didn't vote at all, because they are totally disgusted with Democrats, Republicans and the entire corrupt electoral process. That's what you should be writing about Don. The non-voting by Conservative and Evangelical Christians, Ron Paul supporters and others genuinely disgusted with candidates, parties and the electoral system in general is the real problem. Or, I should say it is the symptom. I have already explained the problem.

"Obama" was elected by less than 30% of eligible voters. Romney got what- 27% of them?

Another problem: Republicans, except for Allen West and a few others, didn't even have the guts or integrity to contest the most corrupt national elections I have seen in my lifetime. They deserve to lose, for that alone.  The Republican party didn't really support West's efforts, so he finally gave it up, even with scads of precincts with 100+% turnout going solidly for his opponent and "Obama."

Maybe the future will bring multiple party offerings, with smart patriots supporting the BEST ones, maybe even parties cross-endorsing. What a novel concept, but it might erode the GOP's perceived monopoly. Monopoly of what, exactly? 30% of registered CA voters? I extend that criticism also to the Libertarian, AIP and Constitution Parties as well.  Do you guys want to elect good people and improve the country or not?

REMINDER! The deadline to register “bullet button assault weapons” is this Saturday, June 30 – see the alert below from GOC. Also, there’s some interesting food for thought with how the gun industry is being hung out to dry by corporate America. What’s even more interesting, though, is that Americans have bought more guns in the past two months than even our military has on hand. According to the FBI, May was a solid month in gun sales, …See More

“The States then being the parties to the constitutional compact, and in their sovereign capacity, it follows of necessity, that there can be no tribunal above their authority, to decide in the last resort, whether the compact made by them be violated; and consequently that as the parties to it, they must themselves decide in the last resort, such questions as may be of sufficient magnitude to require their interposition.” – James Madison

Only in America could liberals talk about the greed of the rich at a $35,000 a plate campaign fund raising event.

We need to demythologize guns before the liberal attempt to create a totemic fear of them succeeds. If the gun control mentality promoting fear of guns themselves becomes our national mentality, we would turn the clock back to the days when a warrior class ruled over the people because only they had the confidence and expertise to deploy the means of defense and coercion. The gun control agenda will turn us into a people too timid to defend themselves from our would-be masters. – Alan Keyes

How can we stand up to someone that creates a 100 dollar Federal Reserve (FR) note for 2 cents and uses the face value of the note of 100 dollars to buy a 100 dollar U.S. Security where the government has to pay them 4% in interest at the end of the year? These truths are well known among our principal men who are now engaged in forming an imperialism to govern the world.
