Good evening,

I have not read this entire thread.  I'm spending a little time each night reading stuff on this site.  I have three recommendations:

1. I highly recommend audiobooks.  I have little time to read, but I'm fortunate enough to work at a place where I can listen to headphones.  I listen to audiobooks all day.  I'm currently listening to 'The Road To Serfdom'.  That's a tough listen when you're trying to work.

2. Following up on item 1, if you check out your local libraries, you can check out audiobooks both in person and online.  Thousand Oaks Library for example has a massive selection of audiobooks on CD, and they are connected with two different resources online (Netlibrary and MyiLibrary).  Both places allow you to checkout and download audiobooks online.  Simi Valley Library also has a third medium, Overdrive Audiobooks, which also lets you download books.

3. I have a few book suggestions.  Again, I did not read the entire thread, so I apologize if I'm repeating previous suggestions. Some of these I have not read, but they seem like logical adds.

'The Gulag Archipelago' by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn (I'm downloading the individual parts from Audible.  I'll listen when I have all of them)

Anything by David Horowitz, specifically 'The Art of Political Warfare and Other Radical Pursuits'.  I finished this one and found it very interesting.  David Horowitz uses outstanding examples to make his point.

'To Save America' by Newt Gingrich.  I just finished this one.  Mr. Gingrich lays out specific plans for resolving problems.

'Stalin: Breaker of Nations' by Robert Conquest.  A good and thorough biography of the life of Stalin and the atrocities that he committed.

'Che Guevara: A Revolutionary Life' by Jon Lee Anderson.  I know, most of you spit whatever you were drinking all over the computer monitor.  Before I read (listened to) this book, my take on 'El Che' was that he was a blood-thirsty commie who went around inciting violence and he ended up getting what he deserved.  In recent years, Che has been morphed into some type of hero freedom-fighter.  I wanted to know the true story of Che and I didn't want something slanted either pro or con.  I did extensive research before selecting this book.  I had a bad feeling going in that this book was going to be a soft puff piece painting Che as a hero.  While the author is leans pro-Che, he is also fair and detailed.  In addition, this is by all accounts the "definitive" accounting of Che's life.

So, in the end, my opinion of Che Guevara is this: He was a man who left a life of luxury, but also a wife and child, to go take part in the Cuban Revolution.  He believed in freeing people from tyranny while at the same time oppressing them with his own brand of tyranny.  He was a doctor who helped a great many people, but was also responsible for executing a great many people.  He complained about imperialist America interfering with other countries and then going to foreign countries to take up armed conflict.  Che was an idealist who couldn't see any opinion but his own, and failed to see the hypocrisy in his actions. I must admit that I was a little sad when I got to the part when Che was executed (not assassinated as one book review put it).  I believe that Che was a charismatic and intelligent guy.  Had his positions softened and he become more reasonable with age things he could have been a force for good.

Anyway, if you want to know about the real Che Guevara, not the face on college dorm poster, read the book.  I firmly believe if you want to have an discussion, debate, or argument about Che Guevara, at least one side needs to have the facts.

Thanks, John. Always looking for good book ideas and reviews too. You may want to contact Reading List Moderator David Stewart, who's real busy at the moment designing a satellite downlink for a client.
Great ideas for books John, thanks for your attention and I look forward to more of your reviews.  I will try to update the reading list with your suggestions including the audio books.  At the moment as George mentioned my plate is way too full to get the website stuff done this month though.  I have the same  problem as you regarding having enough time to read everything I want to read.
Review of Jerome Corsi's New Book, by a competitor
Don Fredrick is the author of The Obama Timeline and a member of the Ventura County Tea Party

Subject: One man's opinion...

Don't waste your money on Jerome Corsi's Where's the Birth Certificate? I just finished reading it (via a Kindle download) and found virtually nothing in it that has not already been written in volumes I or II of The Obama Timeline - except for the name of an Obama babysitter in early 1962 and the names of a few courses taken by his mother at the University of Washington.

I wish I could say that Corsi included a smoking gun but he does not. Of course, if he did have some startling evidence that would lead to the ouster of the thug-in-chief and had kept it secret until the publication of his book he would be a traitor - so I did not expect to learn anything earth-shattering.

If I were to recommend books, they would be Jack Cashill's Deconstructing Obama, Pamela Geller's The Post-American Presidency, and my own The Obama Timeline. Read those three and that is all you need to know about  the current temporary occupant of our Oval Office.

Again, one man's opinion... for what it's worth.

Thanks. At least you read the entire book. I bought Stanley Kurtz's "Radical-in-Chief" after
reading NR review.  Finished first hundred pages and put it down.  Well, there were too many,
"...it is easy to imagine how..." ; "...it is concievable that..";"..Obama had almost certainly read Boyte's work.";
"..would likely have been."..  Now there's some great fact gathering...
Some one tell me if it gets better. For now I don't want to waste the energy.
It also greatly reduces Mr. Kurtz's credibility and motives...For now: Do not buy list..

It was not a difficult read. Corsi's book has a monumental amount of filler, including documents (which have already been seen by all of us via the Internet), references, and even lists of documents Obama refuses to release - which Corsi "pads" by explaining for each of them in unnecessary detail why they may provide valuable information. There isn't that much text in his book, and anyone who has followed the Obama eligibility issues will not be slowed down by names or issues because they are already well-known.

Granted, someone who has read nothing about the Obama eligibility issue and who buys Corsi's book will learn something new - but only information that was previously available in other books or via the Internet. For making the issue better publicized I will give Corsi credit. At least he has a good public relations team at WND.com. Still, of the many Obama books I have read his is not a stand-out.

But every little but helps. Drip, drip, drip...

The Obama Timeline

The Obama Timeline: Comprehensive Research on Obama

Tuesday, April 26th, 2011

Don Fredrick, author of The Obama Timeline (now in paperback), continues to impress with its ever-expanding tracking of Mr. Obama. I’ve linked to him since shortly after starting TRSoL.

From Mr. Fredrick, a new milestone has been hit:

The Obama Timeline has now reached 3,400 pages and over 20,000 online references!

Since mid-2008 I have read more than 20,000 articles and condensed their information into The Obama Timeline. The Timeline is updated on a daily basis, with all new text highlighted in yellow. Spend a few minutes per day reading that new information, and avoid the hours of effort necessary to place it there!

If you have friends or relatives who have not yet accessed the Timeline, please tell them about it. The more the facts are known, the more difficult it will be for the mainstream media to bamboozle the voters in 2012.

Don Fredrick

Mr. Fredrick ought to be considered one of the top researchers in the eligibility saga and truly has been around from the beginning, keeping track of this current Administration.

-Phil

Corsi's book is valuable because it has been hyped and advertised. That makes it worthwhile because it will be purchased by some people who have not been following the Obama fraud. If it helps oust the thug-in-chief, kudos to Corsi. But I continue to stand by my claim, that anyone who has been following the Obama events on the Internet will learn nothing new from Corsi's book. Having said that, if he sells 50 million books and the result is a certain someone deported to Indonesia or jailed for fraud - I will be more than happy to buy him dinner!

Don:

Corsi's book is down to $4.95 a copy, so it can't be selling all that well "-).

Some Books About Obama:

We've had more than our fill of fictitious and ghostwritten "autobiographies.” Now. how about the other side of the story and some FACTS? For your summer reading pleasure (or revulsion), we offer:

- The Obama Timeline, the most comprehensive, well-documented work on The One, anywhere, at any time, by Don Fredrick, who also writes about economics. http://colony14.net

- Where's the Birth Certificate?   We've been told we got it, twice, but it's been fake each time.  Book by Dr. Jerome Corsi, a Harvard Ph.D. (but we won’t hold that against him. Writes about politics, for wnd.com and others. He has several published books. http://www.jeromecorsi.com/

and now ...

- The Greatest Identity Fraud in History, By Dr. Ron Pollard, a document expert, among other things. Example of past article: http://www.thepostemail.com/2010/07/21/dr-ron-polland-speaks-with-t...

All three of these authors are accomplished writers. The first two have Conservative creds. The third is said to be a Hillary fan who later supported McCain reluctantly, rather than embrace Obama . All three have been able to stand by these works and these have held up credibly.  Each book is loaded with facts and conclusions. Because Obama is the most secretive "President" in modern history, some information is missing and the authors have engaged in some extrapolation, but this is usually differentiated from things that are strictly fact-based. When the subject of the book you are writing engages in the greatest cover-up in history, you gotta do what you can do.

These men have created what is probably the best assembly of facts and conclusions available, some from their own research, much drawn upon the works of others, cross checked and examined for completeness and credibility. It would be fair to say that if you assimilated these three works, you would have about the best, most accurate picture available of the man who calls himself Obama, or maybe Soetoro, Soebarkah, or even Bounel.

Mr. Fredrick started writing the Obama Timeline when the subject was still dabbling in Chicago politics. It covers his whole life, up until 100 days into the “Presidency.”  You also  get access to the ongoing autobiography of Obama, which is updated almost daily and has over 10,000 references, many of them online links.  I read an in-process online manuscript and was quickly converted into what the opposition refers to as “birther.”  I know more than enough so that I am not the least bit intimidated by the worst Obots and can make them look absurd in any argument. Read and understand any of these books and you can do likewise.  When asked recently if I was now “doubling down on birther lunacy,” I replied, no but Obama is on his fictional autobiography.  He basically crossed the Rubicon on April 27, when he smugly waved a blatant forgery at the word.  Of course, he committed a crime when he originally ran for the office.

Dr. Corsi is a long time political writer who does much of his own original research. For example, he actually went to Kenya, poked around and quickly scared the bejeezes out of Obot defenders, getting himself arrested and ejected from the country. He has been to Hawaii, Chicago, DC as well in his quest for the truth. He has away with both the written and spoken word in creating a powerful narrative to get his point across, too. Some say that the upcoming release of this book was one of the main factors, along with rump, that forced Obama’s hand, in the fatal error of releasing the forged birth certificate, now a proven, but unheralded forgery. We’re working on the latter problem and are hoping you will help us!

Dr. Pollard is a different breed of cat—a highly technical, homegrown document expert, but also a psychologist and writer, who knows enough about the creation of electronic documents, definitely enough to know about the multiple forged birth documents of the man now illegitimately claiming to be “President” Barack Hussein Obama.  Pollard’s  credentials  have been challenged, because document analysis is not his specialty, but expert specialists have agreed with his work.
