2014 California State Elections- Assembly, Senate, Statewide- Governor, etc.

It's that time again. Will Californians continue the trend of electing people who are destroying the state, as they have been doing for years, or will they choose those who will promote fiscal soundness, constitutional, limited government, free enterprise and economic prosperity?

A Special Message from Tim Donnelly

Please take a few minutes to read this important message concerning the future of California.

Tim Donnelly for Governor
Several months ago, I announced that I was forming an exploratory committee to determine whether or not I should become a candidate for Governor of California in 2014.

During my travels, I’ve seen the reasons why our state has failed to reach its full potential over the past several years.

Our leaders have abandoned the founding principles that have made this country great: fidelity to liberty, an adherence to our constitution, a strict interpretation of the 2nd amendment, and a dedication to a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

The challenges our state faces are too great to ignore—that is why I am proud and honored to declare my candidacy for Governor of California.

Campaign Bus
From one end of California to the other, I’ve witnessed a government that has failed to put children first when it comes to education, has shown a lack of vision when it comes to our energy policy, and has done everything in its power to stifle economic opportunity and the realization of the California Dream.

Even as our state continues its rapid decline, our leaders in Sacramento refuse to adjust to reality. Instead, we see the same commitment to special interests and party politics that has dominated our state.

These big pocketed donors will support whoever will go along with their antics and continue to grant them more power.

Your contribution of $25, $50, $100, $300, $750, $1,250 or whatever you ...e will help us level the playing field with the power brokers.

I'm running for Governor to lead our state back to greatness...

Throughout our state, there are men and women from all walks of life who are struggling. Others simply want to be left alone, but cannot avoid an overzealous government that continues to infringe basic rights.  All of these people — kindhearted, well-meaning Californians — have been silenced by California’s liberal ideologues.

I’m demanding that we be heard once again.

But I can't do this without your help.  Please pitch-in whatever you can so I can speak up for those that the Government has abandoned.

A Donnelly administration will work tirelessly to repair the damage done to our state, provide the economic growth we so desperately need, and ensure there is truly opportunity for all Californians.

Our State should not be directed by a left or right, conservative or liberal, Democrat or Republican mentality — rather, we should be driven to do what is right.

I promise to be a Governor who will steer our state back on course — but I will need your help.

Thank you for your continued dedication to our shared cause.

Who is Kashkari "Republican" Candidate for CA Governor?

TARP’s $700 Billion Bailout Czar Wants to be Your Next Governor! Me...

by Kelly Hubbard

This guy’s record and his views on the issues are almost as scary as his crazy eyes! Neel Kashkari is the California GOP’s latest golden child and he comes with deep pockets and even bigger baggage! He is the GOP’s latest example of what they think passes as a Republican in this state! I don’t think it’s any coincidence that Bush’s bailout Czar announced his candidacy just a few days after Maldonado dropped out! I’m sure the GOP would much rather support this RINO over the other frankly because he’ll probably raise more money than Maldonado and the fact that he already comes out of the gate being a multi-millionaire! It also doesn’t hurt that he appears to have already amassed a sizable campaign team, with seasoned campaigners and consultants who worked for Romney, McCain, and even Schwarzenegger!

Not only has this guy served in both Obama’s and Bush’s administrations, overseeing TARP, but he also has a record and views that make Abel Maldonado look like Ronald Reagan! To say this guy is an ultra-liberal Progressive is a gross understatement!

While doing my research on this guy, my jaw kept dropping to the floor! I can honestly say that I have never seen a Republican candidate with a record and with views so outrageously inconsistent with the party platform! I did a complete bio and below that I delve deeper into his record and his views on the issues. It turns out that most of his liberal views are taken from direct quotes on his website. One thing I’ve noticed about this guy is that he isn’t at all shy about his progressivism! He seems to be very bold and upfront about it!

I sourced as much as I could, but some things I couldn’t source with a link. I think it’s important now more than ever to vet our candidates thoroughly and aggressively! I encourage you to share this information with others and perhaps post it on your social media sites.

As the party bosses start rolling out the red carpet for Kashkari, it’s important that we do our part to inform others about his record and to remind folks there is actually a very authentic conservative in this race to beat Jerry Brown. His name is Tim Donnelly! If you don’t know anything about Assemblyman Tim Donnelly, I encourage you to check out his website ! Compare the sharp night vs. day contrast between both men! After you do that, it will be obvious to you who the real Reagan conservative is in this race to beat Jerry Brown!

Folks, let’s not go down the same old failed road of the past! Let’s pick a true conservative this time! Tim Donnelly for Governor! Read below.

California Senate Votes 28-8 to Exempt Itself from California Gun Laws

The California state Senate voted 28-8 Wednesday to exempt itself from the pointless gun-control laws that apply to the rest of the populace. Legislators apparently think they alone are worthy to pack heat on the streets for personal protection, and the masses ought to wait until the police arrive.

This is just one of many bills Golden State politicians used this legislative session to set themselves apart from the little people, the ones who pay their inflated salaries. Annual compensation for legislators averages about $140,000, not counting luxurious perks such as taxpayer-funded cars and free gasoline. By comparison, the average Californian earns $50,000 a year, and the unemployment rate is 11.9 percent – far above the national average. Exact salaries for state assemblymen and senators are obscured by the use of a “per diem” payment scheme that shelters a significant chunk of income from taxation.

California Senate leader Darrell Steinberg said today that he is removing Sen. Rod Wright from his position as chair of the Senate's Governmental Organization committee but is not asking the legislator found guilty this week of eight felonies to leave office.

Democrats in the California Senate used their two-thirds supermajority Thursday to pass a measure that would ask voters if they want to repeal the state's ban on race- and gender-based preferences in government hiring and contracting and university admissions.

With the bare minimum number of votes needed - 27 - the upper house passed and sent to the Assembly Senate Constitutional Amendment 5, which would ask voters if they want to repeal provisions that became law 18 years ago with the passage of Proposition 209.

The measure by Sen. Ed Hernandez, D-West Covina, prompted lively debate between Democrats and Republicans on the Senate floor. Democrats argued that California's preferences ban has hampered opportunities for Latino and African Americans in the state to get into college and ultimately achieve economic mobility. Republicans argued that the way to make college attainable for more students of color is to improve the K-12 schools in their communities.

"Why aren't we challenging the education system in California, which in many cases is doing a terrible job," said Sen. Ted Gaines, R-Roseville, adding that charter schools and vouchers would allow parents more choices.

Liberal Billionaire Pledges $100 Million to Bully U.S. on Global Warming, Billionaire and former fossil fuel investor Tom Steyer recently announced plans to use his organization, Next Generation Climate Action, to inject millions of dollars into the 2014 election. Steyer, No. 1,031 on Forbes magazine’s billionaire’s list

The New York Times reported on Feb. 18 that Steyer intends to “pressure federal and state officials to enact climate change measures through a hard-edge campaign of attack ads.”

Steyer called together dozens of rich liberals and environmentalists earlier this month, in an attempt to raise $50 million to push climate alarmism, according to the Times. He also pledged to match this goal with $50 million of his own. His campaign might top $100 million, however, as Steyer suggested that “would be a really cheap price.”

Steyer has focused heavily on opposing the Keystone XL pipeline. The DailyCaller reported in October 2013, that Steyer had donated $1.8 million to a super PAC promoting anti-Keystone political candidates in 2013, in addition to a $1 million ad campaign against the pipeline.

This Keystone advertising campaign was the target of widespread controversy, alleging that it misrepresented facts. The Washington Post criticized the ad in January 2014, which alleged that China was secretly behind the pipeline, as “especially disturbing, even by the standards of attack ads.” In fact, even NBC rejected this ad as inaccurate, with its Washington, D.C. affiliate banning it.

Steyer also previously funded Terry McAuliffe’s run for Virginia governor, spending $11 million on that race alone. Politico reported in November 2013 that Steyer actually spent more money on this race, per voter, than the much vilified Sheldon Adelson spent on the 2012 presidential campaigns. His donations included spending on television ads, campaign mail and even a Ken Cuccinelli impersonator.

Despite liberal outrage over conservative donors, some of those same critics praise Steyer. Congressman Henry Waxman (D-Calif.), the outspoken climate alarmist, said in April 2013 that “I’m not happy about big money playing such an important role… But I want to see a pushback, and we can’t unilaterally disarm. I’m glad someone like Tom is willing to spend.”

NextGen Climate Action, based in San Francisco, states its mission as combating “the biggest challenges confronting the next generation of Americans.” Specifically, it highlights the “risk of dangerous climate change,” but are also dedicated to “the threat of diminished prospects for children and families.” Its website’s “Children & Families Program” simply pushes liberal causes, such as the farm bill and welfare programs.

Despite NextGen’s focus on combating climate change, it apparently has put less effort into studying the hypothesis. The organization’s website lists no climate scientists, or scientists of any kind, on its staff.

Ironically, Steyer made much of his $1.5 billion fortune investing in oil and pipeline projects with Farallon Capital Management. Farallon has major stakes in Kinder Morgan, an energy transmission company which “would be a top beneficiary of a Keystone XL rejection,” according to the Financial Post. Steyer has declared that he was in the process of shifting investments away from Kinder Morgan by the end of 2013.

Steyer has been repeatedly described as a liberal counterpoint to the conservative Koch Brothers. Businessweek referred to him as “a liberal analogue of the conservative Koch Brothers” in April 2013, and in March 2011. the Times called him “the anti-Koch”. Of course, liberals already have a major donor, George Soros. As the Media Research Center reported in 2011, Soros gave $550 million to liberal causes between 2000 and 2009 alone, in addition to spending more than $400 million on colleges and universities.

This isn’t the first time the left has committed to creating a major propaganda push about global warming. According to ABC News “Former Vice President Al Gore launched a three-year, multimillion-dollar advocacy campaign” in 2008 to push for limits on greenhouse gas emissions. The plan for the $300-million project was to “combine advertising, online organizing and partnerships with grass-roots groups to educate the public about global warming and urge solutions from elected officials,” wrote ABC.

Obama's scare tactics for mid terms not based in reality: but this one very scare  do you want nancy Pelosi as speaker, stay home and do not vote and it will happen

Someone should give President Obama a history lesson about mid term elections and how well his party actually performs.

Yesterday, Obama shook the Democratic money tree by claiming that his party always gets "cobbered" in mid term elections. The Washington Post corrects the record:

While Obama's predictions of Democratic doom are true in the most recent  midterm (see 2010), the president seems to forget the drubbings that Democrats have given Republicans in midterms past over the last 30 years.

Democrats trounced Republicans in 2006, picking up 31 House and six Senate seats, enough for a majority in each chamber. In 1998 the party vastly outperformed expectations, picking up five seats in the House and leaving Republicans unable to increase a 10-vote margin in the Senate. Democrats really won big in 1982, claiming 27 House seats, and even bigger in 1986, when they took control of the Senate.

While poor showings are often blamed on lackluster turnout, the elections can often hinge on the current occupant of the Oval Office. When Democrats gained seats in 1998, it was the first time since 1934 that the president's party had gained ground during a midterm election. And who was president? Bill Clinton, whose popularity within the Democratic base had surged amid Republican impeachment proceedings in Congress. In 2006, George W. Bush was deeply unpopular and  Democrats won. Republicans also won big in 1994 and clobbered, to borrow a word, Democrats in 2010.

It's a time honored tactic for party leaders to try and goose their moneybags contributors by scaring them to death about being overwhelmed by the other partiy's resources. The reason it's used is because it usually works. I've been getting at least one email a day from the DNC or OFA warning me that all those hard won victories of the past 5 years are in jeopardy unless I immeditaely send them $10.

This time, of course, Obama may be right. But you have to think that the cold fish who contribute millions to the Democratic party were shaking their heads in disbelief when the president widly overstated the record. for Congress

An Urgent Appeal

By Tom McClintock on March 10, 2014

Dear Friends,

I need your help like never before.

Coordinating with the Democrats, a well-funded liberal coalition is testing a new strategy to silence conservatives in California.

In short, they are using the "jungle primary" system to set in motion a Republican-on-Republican contest in the general election.

What does this mean for us?

It's obvious -- the liberals want to entice enough Republicans to break off and join Democrats to elect a liberal Republican in a district that won't elect a liberal Democrat.

In fact, in the days leading up to the filing deadline, one Democrat after another pulled papers and then mysteriously withdrew.

On the last day of filing, a liberal Republican suddenly stepped in.

Help me send a message that their scheme won't work!

The next reporting period closes on March 31st, and it is imperative that I show conservative donors like you rallying to my side.

Help our campaign put more boots on the ground to fight back against this attempt at a total liberal takeover. Please contribute to our campaign today.

There's good news -- the people in the 4th district know me and know where I stand, and I believe we will keep this seat as a conservative one.  But it will require a full-blown and expensive campaign right through to November, and I need your help NOW.

As always, my team and I will keep you informed of developments in this race, but it has just become one that will determine whether conservatives will have any place left in California politics. Let's send a strong and emphatic message that we do!

Help Stop Common Core In It’s Tracks! Lydia Gutierrez for State Sup...

Written by Kelly R. Hubbard:

One of the most important state-wide elected offices, is the office of public instruction. The Superintendent of Public Instruction is in a sense the top educator in our state! This individual will oversee implementation of Common Core to almost every public school in California. It’s important that we have someone in that position who understands the dangers and the problems associated with this top-down, one size fits all approach to education. As you know, Common Core is designed to indoctrinate and dumb-down our children! Common Core will result in a poor education experience for all California school students! For those of us who have studied Common Core, we shutter to think what the future will be like if the Marxist architects of this “education” plan have their way! Now more than ever, it’s vital to put someone in charge of California’s broken education system who is intimately aware of the horrible ramifications of Common Core and also knows the negative influences the Teacher’s Unions have on our education system! Lydia Gutierrez is that someone!

Except for a short stint in the aerospace industry many years ago, Lydia has spent almost her entire adult life as an educator and teacher! This woman has a real heart for our children and a real passion to see that they receive a quality education in our public schools! Lydia understands that the best education for our children starts by getting the federal and state governments out of the way and bringing more local control to parents, teachers, and town school boards! This is a woman who understands that federal and state bureaucrat’s top-down approach to education is just not working and it’s actually doing harm than good! Lydia believes that the stranglehold the greedy teachers unions have on education is resulting in our children performing dead last! She also believes that teachers should be held more accountable and that we should put our students first instead of the money-hungry unions!
In terms of Common Core, Lydia has been one of the most out-spoken and leading critics of it in California! Lydia understands the awful consequences of Common Core and what it will do if we allow it to be fully implemented! She is well aware of Common Core’s sinister plans and she knows it’s full history!
As we get closer to June and November, I strongly encourage you to vote for a conservative champion of education and a leading critic of Common Core: Lydia Gutierrez! Lydia desperately needs our help! She is going up against an entrenched bought and paid-for liberal incumbent named Tom Tolerkson! Torleckson has been endorsed and fully supported by all the major Teachers’ Unions! If we want to see this state once again be a model of public school education we must support Lydia Gutierrez for State Superintendent! If you want to see Common Core stopped in it’s tracks in California, support Lydia! I’ve pasted Lydia’s website and some more information about her below! Please share her info on social media and get the word out! Let’s put our children first and trash Common Core in California once and for all! Lydia Gutierrez for State Superintendent of Public Instruction! Thanks and God bless! Read below.

Announcing: Endorsements for Tim Donnelly

Dear Fellow Patriot,

Under Jerry Brown's iron rule that began almost 40 years ago, we're crushing the competition. California now has the unwelcome distinction of having the second highest taxes in the nation, the highest poverty rate in the country, and more people dependent on the government than in any other state. His true legacy is taking California from first to last in everything that matters.

The math just doesn't add up. Californian's demand better and this is why endorsements are flooding in to our campaign.

We’re proud to have received the unanimous endorsement of the California Republican Assembly as well as the endorsement from the Republican Party of Los Angeles County. Other endorsements include Silicon Valley Association of Republican Women, Pomona Republican Caucus, Nevada County Republican Party, Placer County Republican Party, Liberty Caucus, San Bernardino County Republican Party, and Merced County Republican Party.

It’s actually happening.

Together, we’re taking California back, one county at a time.

And thanks to your help, we recently grew our list of county Republican Party endorsements by two, with both Sonoma and El Dorado jumping on board – unanimously!

Our people driven, grassroots support has been the key to our success as front runner in this race from day one. And it’s exactly how we will win this campaign. With already close to a dozen counties officially supporting our bid for Governor, “We the People” have spoken in strong unison for common sense reform and for freedom.

While support is piling up and we are decisively winning the ground game in this race, my opponents have yet to receive a single county endorsement. Standing together, our voice will continue to be heard and our message will continue to spread.

Here are just a few of the issues I’ve already been able to author legislation and lead on in the Assembly as we fight to bring opportunity back to our state:

  • Curb the abuse of citizen's rights by the federal government through "indefinite detention" provisions of the defense authorization bill.
  • Force an audit of the abusive Child Protective Services (CPS) agency and introduce "Sammy's Law".
  • Overhaul and improve our educational system by speaking out against such issues as Common Core and AB 1266, the "Bathroom Bill", which allows children in opposite sex school bathrooms, thus destroying children's right to privacy.
  • Led the fight against SCA 5, which denies an individual or groups rights to public education on the basis of race.

This is the very type of work ethic and principled leadership that I will bring to the Governor's office in November.

If you or a friend serve on your GOP central committee in your local county, please let me know right away by replying to this email – we need your help in securing our victory in you area as well. I look forward to hearing from you and working with you!

Take a stand. Together we will help return the great state of California to the top of every list where we rightfully belong. California deserves better.

Antonio Villaraigosa endorses Torlakson rival in state supe race In an unusual move, former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has broken with the California Democratic Party to endorse a rival over incumbent Tom Torlakson in the race for state superintendent of public instruction.

Villaraigosa, a former Assembly speaker with a possible eye on a future governor's race, announced his support for former charter schools executive Marshall Tuck last Thursday, calling him the "only candidate with the experience needed to bring major change to California schools." "Marshall will bring real strategies, not politics, to Sacramento," Villaraigosa said in a statement. The endorsement is not entirely unexpected: In 2006, Villaraigosa selected Tuck to lead a non-profit organization that assumed control of 17 failing public schools in Los Angeles Unified School District. But the move puts Villaraigosa at odds with his party, which endorsed Torlakson at its convention in March. Torlakson has also received endorsements from prominent California Democrats including Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, state Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg and Assembly Speaker John A. Pérez, as well the state's two biggest teacher's unions. And Villaraigosa also has a prior relationship with Torlakson:

They served together in the Assembly from 1996 to 2000, where Torlakson joined Democrats to elect Villaraigosa as Speaker in 1998. "Given that the former mayor had previously hired Mr. Tuck, his endorsement comes as no surprise," Torlakson spokesman Paul Hefner wrote in an e-mail. "It certainly is not likely to carry the weight with voters the support Superintendent Torlakson enjoys among teachers, school employees and dozens of county and local school superintendents." Editor's note: This post was updated at 3:39 p.m. to add a comment from Torlakson's office. Read more here:

“Disarmament of the populace is always the first step to depriving them of their civil rights and human rights…many African-Americans and women are actively assaulting the very document that first secured their own freedom... if you do not believe in the Bill of Rights, then you are not, at heart, an American.” – Mike Adams

Only in America could liberals talk about the greed of the rich at a $35,000 a plate campaign fund raising event.

We need to demythologize guns before the liberal attempt to create a totemic fear of them succeeds. If the gun control mentality promoting fear of guns themselves becomes our national mentality, we would turn the clock back to the days when a warrior class ruled over the people because only they had the confidence and expertise to deploy the means of defense and coercion. The gun control agenda will turn us into a people too timid to defend themselves from our would-be masters. – Alan Keyes

So now that there is a new tragedy the president wants to have a “national conversation on guns”. Here’s the thing. Until this national conversation is willing to entertain allowing teachers to carry concealed weapons, then it isn’t a conversation at all, it is a lecture. – Larry Correia'

How can we stand up to someone that creates a 100 dollar Federal Reserve (FR) note for 2 cents and uses the face value of the note of 100 dollars to buy a 100 dollar U.S. Security where the government has to pay them 4% in interest at the end of the year? A yearly cost of 4 FR notes where it only cost the FR 2 cents to print.

“Capital must protect itself in every possible way, both by combination and legislation. Debts must be collected, mortgages foreclosed as rapidly as possible. When, through the process of law, the common people lose their homes, they will become more docile and more easily governed through the strong arm of government applied by a central power of wealth under leading financiers. These truths are well known among our principal men who are now engaged in forming an imperialism to govern the world. By dividing the voter through the political party system, we can get them to expend their energies in fighting for questions of no importance. It is thus by discreet action we can secure for ourselves that which has been so well planned and so successfully accomplished.”
- President American Bankers Association, 1924

Nonetheless, in a land where every mewling babe in the American nursery is born with a debt burden of just under $200,000, the president brags that only his party is 'compassionate' to have no plan whatsoever even to attempt to do anything about this, no way, no how, not now, not ever." --columnist Mark Steyn

"The actual need for a service, its relevance and value is always subordinate to the bureaucracy.
